AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE PURCHASE, SALE OR POSSESSION-
OF GLUE AND RELATED SUBSTANCES
AND PROVIDING PENALTIES THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CSTY OF FRIDLEY Dt7ES ORDAIN AS FOLIAWS:
SEC220N I. The inha2ing, breathing, or drinking of certain
substances, hereinafter defined and comrrnnly
known as g1ue, is prohibited and the purchase,
saZe, and possession thereof are regulated as

Subdivision 1. Inhaling, breathing, drinking
of certain sabstances prohibited. No person'shall '
inhale, breathe or drink, or be or become intoxi-
cated bg reason of inhaling, breathing, or drinking
any substance oommonlg known as glue, adhesive,
cement, muciIage, dope, soZven�s, 3acv�uer, drugs,
fingernail polish and lacquer, nail pnlish remover,
or thinners for the above named s�bst�nces, nor ang
substances containing tol�ol, T.rex�se,. trichlomethg-
1ene; acetone, touene, ethg3 �c��ate, methyl ethgZ
ketone, trichoroathane, 3sapro{aano2s, mrethyl isobutg2
ketone, methyZ cel3osol.ve acQt.a�e„ ezte3ohexanone, or
any other seabstance whic.Pa a�m�ar:ns ,katones, aldehydes,
organic acetates, ether, chF.arsnat,te�ksydrocarbons,
or any other simi3ar irag�d'ie.s�� �i�e2a releases toxic
vapors for the parpasE of iim'uc.a� sa�ieeptoms of intoxi-
cation, eZetzon, excitement,. cra�sica�,. dizziness,
paralysis, irratiana� befiavzaa,, �rr irs any raanner
change, distort ar distrar?r th� �larxc�, coordination
or the audio, v3sual, vr �r�ta1 �rroc�sses.
Subdivision 2. Purchase, saFe, wr uassession reguZated.

SECTION 2. Any person violating the provisions of this
ordinance shaZl be guiZty of a misdemeanor and
upon cronviction shall be punished by a fine of
not mpre than $300.00 or by imprison�nt for not
to exceed 90 days or both.
SECTION 3. This ordinance sha11 be in full force and effect
thirty (30) days from date of publication.
