ORDINANCE N0. 552
AN ORDINANCE ANIENDING CHAPTER 506.01 REGUTATING THE PARKING
OF CERTf1IN CONfMERC]AL VEHICLEB UPON THE PUBLIC STREETS IN
RESIDENTIAL DZ�TRICTS AND PRESCRIBING PENALTSES FOR THE
VIOLATION THEREOF, AMENDING CHAPTER 506 OF THE FRIDLEY
OITY CODE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 506.01 is amended as follows:
Subd'uvision 1. No person shall drive� operate or be in actual physical
control of any vehicle..contrary to state law; nor shall any owner or
person having custody or control of any vehicle knowingly allow any
other person to drive� operate or be in actual physical control of a
vehicle contrary to state law.
Subdivision 2. As used in this ordinance, the term "commercial vehicle"
means and includes a"truck" as defined in Minnesota Statutes Section
168.011 subd. 10� a"tractor" as defin�d in Minnesota Statutes Section
168.011 subd. 11� a"truck .tractor" as defined in Minnesota Statutes
Section 168.011 Subd. 12, a"trailer" as defined in FI:innesota Statutes
Section 168.011 subd. 13, a"semi-trai7:er" as defined in Minnesota
Statutes Section 168.011 subd. 14, and a"bus" as deEined in i�innesota
Statutes Section 168.011 subd. 9.
Subdsvwsion 3: As used in this ordinance, the term "residential district"
g�eans and includes those areas zoned single family dwelling areas, two
family dwelling areas, and general mul�iple family dwelling areas.
Section 506,122 a new section which reads as follows:
No person sba11 park or leave standing a commercial vehicle, whether
attended or unattended, having a gro'ss weight of more than 13,OQ0
pounds upon the public streets in any residential district for a period
of time longer than four hours, unless in the process of loading or
unloading and then only for such period of time necessary to load
or unload.
