ORDINANCE N0. 573
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3.03 OF CHAPTER 3 OF THE FRIDLEY CITY
CODE ENTITLED PERSONNEL.
The City Council of the City of Fridley does ordain as follows: �
SECTION 1. Section 3.03 Holidays, is amended to read as fo7lows:
3.03 Holidays
The following days shall be holidays, and no emp7oyees, except in the case
of necessity to public safety, health and welfare, or unless the requirements of his
employment so provide, shall be obliged to perform work on such day; and when so
performed, compensation for such work shall be paid as overtime work at the rate
of one and one-half (lz) times the regular pay. The following days are "holidays",
New Year's Day, January 1; Washington's and Lincoln's Birthday, the third Monday
in February; Plemorial Day, the last Monday in May; Independence Day, July 4;
Labor Day, the first Monday in September; Christopher Columbus Day, the
second Monday in October; Veterans Day, �n� {����� ������ �� �Q�����, November 11;
Thanksgiving Day, the fourth Thursday in November; and Christmas Day, December 25;
provided, when New Year's Day, January 1; or Independence Day, July 4; or Veterans

ay shall be a holiday and, provided, when New Year's Day, January 1; or Independence
Day, July 4; or Veteran5 Day, November �1; or Christmas Day, December 25; falls
on Saturday, the preceeding day shall be a holiday.
