AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF ON-SALE WINE LICENSES, PRESCRIBING COPdDITIONS
THEREFORE, AND PROVIDIPdG PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIOPJS THEREOF: APIENDING CHAPTER 603 OF

SECTIOfd 11.10 OF THE CITY CODE RELATING TO FEES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLObIS:
Section 603.221 Authorization to Issue Licenses
,The City is hereby authorized to issue on-sale wine licenses pursuant to authoritv
of Minnesota Statute, Laws 1975, Chapter 3n5. Licenses may be issued to "restaurants"
as defined above.

Section 603.222 License Required
No person, operatin9 a restaurant, shall sell, or permit to be sold on said premises,
any wine without having issued to said �erson either an "On-Sale 6�Jine License" or an
"On-Sale Intoxicating Liquor License". An "On-Sale Wine License" permits only the
on-sale of wine not exceedinq 14 per cent alcohol b.y volume in conjunction with the
sale of food.
Section 603.223 Fees
The annual license fee and expiration date shall be as provided in Chapter 11 of
this code.
Section 603.224 Seating Capacity
Vo wine license shall be issued to any restaurant havin� seating capacity of less than
seventy-five (75) persons.
Section 603.225 Other Applicable Provisions
The orovisions of Chapter 603.01 to 603.21 above shall apply to on-sale wine licenses
insofar as practicable, as the,y relate to:
• Definitions; Applications; Renewal; Procedure for Grantina Licenses; Persons
and Places Ineligible; Conditions of License; Hours of Operation; Restrictions
Involving Plonors; Other Restrictions on Purchase or Consumption; Insurance;
Notice and Hearing on Suspension or Revokation of License; Alteration of
Premises; Penalties.
Chapter 11 of the Fridley Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 11.10 Fees
Add new subject of "On-Sale Wine License". The annual license fee for an on-sale
wine license shall be $700.OQ per year. The fee may be nrorated for neriods of less
than one year. In addition to the annual license fee, a$500.00 initial investination
fee shall be charged for each new application.
