AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 703 SNOWMOBILES, SEGTION 703.021, OPERATION AND
DELETING SECTION 703.022
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
That Chapter 703, Section 703.021 be amended as follows:
SECTION 703.021 Operation No person shall operate a snowmobile upon the
roadway, shoulder or inside bank or slope of any trunk,
county state aid, or county highway in this City and in
the case of a divided trunk or county highway, or the
right of way between the opposing lanes of traffic except
as provided in this Ordinance. No person shall operate a
snowmobile within the right of way of any trunk, county
state aid, or county highway between the hours of one-half
hour after sunset to one-half hour before sunrise, except
on the right hand side of such right of way and in the same
direction as the highway traffic on the nearest lane of the
roadway adjacent thereto. No snowmobile shall be operated
at any time within the right of way of any interstate
highway or freeway within this City.
Noi withstanding any statutes or ordinances to ihe contrary,
no person shall operate, nor shall an owner allow to 6e
operated a snowmobile:
l. Upon a municipal street.
2. Upon public lands and frozen waterways without authority
from the applicable governmental body or authorized
administrative personnel.
3. Upon land not his own, without the written permission of
� the owner, occupant or leasee of such lands. Written
permission may be given b,y a posted notice that specifies
"Snowmobiles Allowed" or words substantially similar.
