AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING CHAPTER 503 E�JTITLED
RDAD WEIGHI RESTRICTIONS AND REPEALINf PRIOR
CHAPTER 503 (ROA� WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS)
The Ctty Counc�l of the C1ty of Fridley does orda�n as follows
Chapter 503 is hereby amended to read as follows.
503.01 ROAD WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS
Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 169.87 as amended and as
incorporated by reference in Section 501 of the Code of the Ci�y
of Fridley, �s a part hereof by reference there±o.
ROAD WEIGHT
RESTRTCTIONS
IT IS HEREBY PRO�IDED, that the City Council shall by resolution,
duly adopted, prohibit the operation or movement of veh�cles upon
any street or public highway in the City, or impose restrictions
as to the weight of vehicles to be used, operated or moved upon
any such street or public highway, whenever any suc,h street or
public highway by reason of deterioration, rain, snow or other
climatic condittons, wtll be seriously damaged or destroyed unless
the use, operation or movement of veh�cles thereon is prohibtted,
or the permissible weights thereof reduced That upon the adoption
of such resolution, the same shall be in full force and effect and
the Council shall cause the street or public h�ghway affected by
such resolution to be posted with notice in the manner provided in
Mtnnesota Statutes, Section 169.87, and thereafter, it shall be
unlawful for any person to use, operate or move any vehicle or
combination of vehicles in and upon such street or publ�c highways
in the City contrary to the prohibition or restrictton set forth
tn such resolution and notice.
503.02 RESTRICTIONS
It is hereby prohibited to operate trucks havtng a gross weight of
more than 7000 pounds on the follow�ng des�gnated streets

503 04 PENALTIES PEPJALTIES
Any violation of this chapter is a misdemeanor and is sub,7ect to
all penalties provtded for such violations under the provis�ons
of Chapter 901 of this Code
503.05 REPEAL
� Chapter 503 as presently extsts is hereby repealed
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL DF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY THIS 2N� OF
OCTOBER, 1978.
