ORDINAN[,E N0. 732
AN OR6I�IANCE ESTABLISHING A NEW CHAPTER 11 OF THE
FRIDLEY CITY CODE ENTITLED LICENSES AND PERMITS AND
REPEALING OLD CHAPTER 11 IN ITS ENTIRETY
THE GITY GOUNCIL �F THE CIT1' OF FRIOLEY DOES �RDNIN AS FOLL�WS:
11.01. COMPLIANLE
No person shall practice or carry on a business, trade or
profession in the City w�thout comply�ng w�th all federal and
state regulations, laws, license or permit requirements and with
the license and pernn t requ�rements of any provis�on of th�s
Code.
11.02. DEFINITION
A business, trade or profession shall �ncludE the bartering,
selltng, purchasing or exchanging of gopds, serv�ces, and
mater�als w�th or without compensat�on.
11.03. APPLICATION
Unless otherwise provided in this Code, appl�cation for any
ltcense or permit required hy th�s Code shall be made w�th the
City Clerk on forms furnished 6y the City. The applicant shall
provide such �nformation as required by the C�ty or any
ltcensing or permit prov�sion of this Code.
11.04. PROCESSING TIME
The minimum length of time required for the processing of any
applicat�on shall be determined by the City Clerk who shall
inform any applicant of the appropriate time reqirements.
11.05. TERM
The l�cense or permit term begins May 1 of any year through
Aprtl 30 of the follow�ng year, inclusive, unless otherwise
provided in this Code.
11.D6. RENEWAL
No license or perm�t is automatically renewed by the City.
Applications for renewal shall be submitted to the Clerk pr�or
to the expiration date for Council approval.

11.07. PRORATION AND REFUNDS
No license or permit fee shal] be prorated or refunded except
as expressly prov�ded by 11.10 of th�s chapter or other
licens�ng and permit provision of this Code.
11.08. REVOCATION
Any v�olation of the terms of this chapter or any other
licens�ng or permit prov�sion of th�s Code shall be grounds for
suspens�on and/or revocation of the license or permtt by the
C�ty Counc�l. Licenses and perm�ts shall be revoked only for
cause and upon adequate notice antl the opportun�ty to be heard.
11.09. DISPLAY
Any person to whorri a license or pe rnn t is issued pursuant to
this Code shall be required to display such l�cense or perm�t
or to make said l�cense or perm�t ava�lable for rev�ew upon
request. This provis7on shall be suboroinate to any other
provision of this Code wh�ch expressly requires that said
license or perm�t shall be displayed or posted.
11.10. FEES

11.11 PENNLTY
The penalty for late payment of all licenses and permit fees as
shown in Section 11.10 of the Ctty Code shall be 25% of the
amount of the fee if recetved from 1 to 7 days late. If the
payment is received more than 7 days after it is due, the
penalty shall be 50% of the fee. (Ref. 619)
