AN ORDINANCE RECODIFYING THE FRIDLEY CITY CODE, Cf]APTER 3,
ENTITLED "P�RSONNEL" BY AMENDIAG SLC"PION 3 03, ENTITLED
"HOLIDAYS"
The City Council of the City of Fridley hereby ordains as follows
3 03, HOLIDAYS

The follo�ving days sha11 be holidays, and no emplogees, except in the case of
necessity to public safety, health and welfare, or unless the requirements of
employment so provide, shall be obliged to perform work on such day, and when
so performed, compensation for such work shall be paid as overtime cvork at the
rate of one and one-half (1-1/2) times the regular pay The following days
are "holidays" New Year's Day, ,Tanuary 1, Martin Luther King's Birthday, the
third Monday in January, Washington's and Lincoln's Birthday, the third Monday
in February, Memorial Day, the last Monday in 1�1ay, Independence Day, Suly 4,
Labor Day, the first Monday in September, Veterans Day, November 11,
Thanksgiving Day, the fourth Thursday in NovemUer, and Christmas Day, DecemUer
25, provided, when New Year's Day, .Tanuary l, or Independence Day, Suly 4, or
Vetet'ans Day, November 11, or Christmas ➢ay, Decemhex 25, falls on Sunday, the
following day shall be a holiday and, provided when New Year's Day, January 1,
� or Independence Day, July 4, or Veterans ➢ay, November 11, or Christmas Day,
December 25, falls on Saturday, the preceding day shall be a holiday
