The Council of the City of Fndley does hereby ordain as follaas:

1. Purpose.
The City establishes a fimd to provide self-insurance against liability ot the
City and its officers, employees, agents and servants under Minnesota
Statutes, Chapter 466, Section 340A.603 and 340A.801 and any other laws for
damages resulting from its torts, including torts for which the City has
u�anunity, and those torts of its officers, employees, agents and servants.
The establishment of the fund, the allocation of funds to it or the
expenditure of f�ds, or any other act in con��ction with the establishing or
operation of the fund shall not waive any immunity granted to a political
subdivision, nor shall it waive ariy statutory limitation on liab�.lity afforded
a political subdivision.
' 2. Funding.
The City hereby establishes an xmtial fund in the amount of $50,723. The
City shall appropriate, frwn time to time, sufficient funds to maintain or
increase the initial balance.
3. Authorized Expenditures.
The City Council hereby authorizes expenditures from the fund established for
any one or more of the fallaaing purposes:
A. Payment of losses.
B. Costs of defense and irivestigation.
C. Premiinns and deducti6le amounts when commercial insurance is
purchased f or a risk.
D. Costs of loss control activities.
E. Any other costs customarily borne by commercial insurers under
conventional insurance �olicies.
