WHII2EAS, the Fridley Fire De�rtment and other City staff have conducted an
extensive study of fire emergency responses and response tines to various
areas of the City; and
WHII2EAS, these studies have shaan response times Ly the Fire DeFartment to the
east and southeast quadrant of the City are not equal to other areas of the
City; and
WHII2EAS, studies have shcxan that the locaticn of a satellite fire station ir
the general area of Central Avenue and Rice Creek Road can have a f avorable
impact towards reducing response tines in the eastern and southea�terr
quadrant of the City; and
WHEREAS, the Fridley HItA was established in part to improve substanaard
wnditions including fire protection tu attract developnent in uncierdevelo�ec
areas; and
WHEREAS, the property acquired in 1985, by the Friuley HRA property for
' $14,000.00 (Y.I.N. 13-30-24-42-0049), is deemEd suitable in size and in the
general area of Rice Creek Rc�d and Central Avenue; and
WHETtEAS, the Fndley City Council is agreeahle to a satellite fire station
location in this general area and is desirous of acyuiring property with
P.I.N. 13-30-24-42-0049 from Fridley HRA.

DDW, ZIiEREEnRE, BE IT RFSOLVED by the City Council of the City of Friciley HRA
that the Executive Director is authorized to sell �roperty number P.I.N.
13-30-24-42-0049 for the swn of $14,000.00 to the Fndley City Council for the
purpose of construction of a satellite f ire station.
