WHEREAS, the Sprmgbrook Nature Center �s a 127 acre Crty oFPndley park lhat
provides year round opportu�ities to expenence and learn about nature, and
WHEREA3, the Springbrook Nature Center is an environmental education center that
serves school groups, commumty orgamzat�ons and farrulies, and
WHEREAS, the Springbrook Nature Center serves Fndley residents wtth en�oyable and
educat�onal programs, hands-on exkubrts and nature center facilrties, and
WHEREAS, the Spnngbrook Nature Center Gateway Pro�ect mcludes facility
unprovements that will provide spaces for educahon, health and wellness, commumty
gatheruigs, celebrations, and business retreats, and
WHEREAS, the Gateway Pro�ect has been developed wrth the uiput of crt�zen groups,
envuonmental�sts, city oflie�als and azckutects to preserve the Sprmgbrook experience far
future generations,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Pazks and Recreation Comm�ssion of
the Crty of Fndley supports the unprovements inchided u� the Springbrook Nature Center
Gateway Project and recogmze the positroe unpact this project will have upon the
citizens of ttus commumYy
