RESOLUTION NO. 28 - 1959
A RESOLUTION ORDERING PRELIMINARY PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS
AND ESTIMATES OF THE COSTS THEREOF: FOR WATER MAIN
CROSSING RICE CREEK ON UNIVERSITY AVENUE, WATER MAIN
CROSSING HIGHWAY # 100 AT JOHNSON STREET, WATER AND
SEWER LATERALS FOR RIVERVIEW HEIGHTS AND ADJACENT AREAS,
WATER AND SEWER FOR HICKORY DRIVE, WATER AND SEWER
FOR 5TH STREET, SANITARY SEWER FOR 53RD AVENUE WEST
OF JOHNSON STREET, STORM SEWER FOR AREA NORTH AND SOUTH
OF MISSISSIPPI STREET EAST OF JACKSON AND STORM SEWER
FOR AREA WEST OF 7TH STREET NORTH OF 61ST AVENUE AND
EAST OF UNIVERSITY AVENUE.
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Fridley,
as follows:'
1. That it appears in the interest of the City and
the property owners affected that there be constructed
certain improvements, towit:-
a. WATER LATERALS, service connections, and appurtenances
in the following lands and along the following streets:
1. University Avenue from Rice Creek Terrace to
the south boundry of Section 11.

Across Highway # 100 in the vicinity of Johnson
Street.
�4 of streets in Riverview Heights, all of
street in Spring Brook Park Addition, Auditor's
Subdivision No. 103, and the unplatted parts
of Section No. 3 lying west of the Northern
Pacific Railway right of way and North of
Albany Street.
4. Hickory Drive, East River Road to 70th Way.
5. Fifth Street, from 61st Avenue north to
approximately 300 feet south of 63rd Avenue.
b. SEWER LATERALS, service connections, and appurtenances
in the following lands and along the following streets:
the area described in paragraph a. subdivision
(3) above.
2. In area described in paragraph a. Subdivision (4)
above.
3. In area described in paragraph a. Subdivision (5)
above.
4. 53rd Avenue from Johnson Street to Pierce Street.
c. STORM SEWER, and appurtenances in the following lands
and along the following streets.
1. All that area lying South of Mississippi Street,
west of 7th Street, north of 61st Avenue and
east of a line 130 feet west of 5th Street; and

ALL THAT AREA LYING SOUTH OF MISSISSIPPI
.street, West of 5th Street, north of 64th Avenue
and East of University Avenue.
2. All of that property adjacent to and within the
drainage area which includes all of Meadowlands ,
Addition; Mississippi Street, Jackson Street to
T. H. #k 65; Taylor & Baker Street, 64th Avenue
to Mississippi Street; Able and Van Buren, 63rd
Avenue to Mississippi Street, Oakley Drive, and
Brookview Drive.
That the firm of Comstock & Davis Engineering Co. Inc.,
is hereby authorized and directed to draw preliminary plans and
specifications and to tabulate the results of his or their
estimates of the costs of said improvements, and to make a
preliminary report of his or their findings to the Council not
later than at their earliest convenience.
