RES 1959-59 - 00013069• RESOLUTION NO. 59 - 1959 A RESOLUTION RELATING TO STORM DRAINAGE NEEDS. BE IT RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, as follows: THAT WHEREAS It has been determined to be in the interest of the City'and the public generally that the City provide for and establish a system of storm water drainage by the construction of storm sewers, storm drains and the like, and WHEREAS the successful construction and opera- tion of the same is dependent upon and affected by, in a great measure, highway improvements as made by the Department of Highways of the State of Minnesota, and WHEREAS It appears that the Department of Highways of the State of Minnesota contemplates further im- provements in the immediate future along Highway No. 100, Highway No. 65 (Central Avenue), and Highway No. 56 (University Avenue), IT IS THEREFORE found in the interest of the City of Fridley that the City authorize its consulting engineers, namely: Comstock and Davis, to study the storm water drainage needs of the City as the same are affected by the improvements to be made along said highways by the Department of Highways, and to provide to the City one or more plans in the alternate, whereby the construction work relative to the needs of the City may be coordinated with that accomplished by the Department of Highways. FURTHER, in that it appears that the City of Columbia Heights is or may be likewise affected by such work in a substantial manner, the engineers are authorized to coordinate their efforts, not only with the representatives of the Depart- ment of Highways, but also with the proper representatives of the City of Columbia Heights.
