A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING PAYMENT
UP TO $500.00 FOR THE STUDY, SURVEY AND DEVELOP-
MENT OF HOSPITAL NEEDS IN THE NORTHEAST METRO -
POLITAN AREA AND DESIGNATING COUNCILMAN NAGEL TO
SERVE ON THE HOSPITAL COMMITTEE.
1 WHEREAS, the very urgent need of a hospital to serve
our people has been evident to our council, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to a recognition of this need, a
study with other communities as to possible solutions has been
undertaken, and
WHEREAS, it has been proposed that the Cities of
Columbia Heights, Fridley and Coon Rapids, together with the
Villages of Blaine, Spring Lake Park, Lexington and Circle
Pines join together in an effort to fill this need of a
hospital to serve our needs, and
WHEREAS, this will require some initial financing
and a representative of our community,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council hereby
appoints Councilman'V. M. Nagel to represent them in this joint
effort and hereby authorizes and dirrects the payment of up to
$500.00 to be used for such study, survey and development of
hospital needs and such basic organizational expenses as are
needed and that these funds are to be dispersed at the direc-
tion of V. M. Nagel, and further be it resolved that V. M.
Nagel shall report back to this council as soon as practical
and from time to time as to the progress and development of
this study.
