All of the improvements as noted in the notice of hearing on the same as are noted (in Exhibit "A") in said notice, except (none); that the work in- volved in said improvements as listed above shall hereafter be designated as: WATER AND SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 38 -1960 2. The plans and specifications prepared by Comstock and Davis, Inc., Consulting Engineers, for such improve- ments and each of them, pursuant to the Council resolu- tions heretofore adopted, a copy of which plans and specifications are hereto attached and made a part hereof, are hereby approved and shall be filed with the City Clerk. 3. The work to be performed under WATER AND 9RWER IMPROVE - MENT PROJECT NO. 38 -1960, shall be performed under one contract. The City Manager shall accordingly prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper advertisements for bids upon the making of such improvements under such ap- proved Plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for 3 weeks (at least 21 days), and shall specify the work to be done and will state that bids will be opened and considered at 8:00 o'clock P.M., on the 6th day of September, 1960, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk, and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City for five percent (5 %) of the amount of such bid. That the advertisement for bids for WATER AND SLItiTE7 IM- MOVE.MENT PROJECT NO. 38 -1960 shall be substantially in form as that noted in Exhibit "B" attached hereto for reference and made a part hereof. THE MATER OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROvTEMENTS (RICKARD ROAD AND ALDEN WAY - W & S) WHEREAS, the construction of certain improvements is deemed to be in the interest of the City of Fridley and the property owners affected thereby. BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley as follows: 1. That the preliminary report submitted by Comstock and Davis, Inc., Consulting Engineers, is hereby received and accepted. 2. That this Council will meet on the 6th day of September 1960, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. at the City Hall in the City of Fridley for the purpose of holding a Public Hearing on the improvements noted in the Notice attached hereto and made a part thereof by reference, Exhibit "A ". That the area proposed to be assessed for said improve- ments and each of them as noted in said notice are all the lands and areas as noted in said notice: all of the same to be assessed proportionately according to the bene- fits received. NOW, THEREFORE, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on the 6th day of September, 19600 at 7:30 o'clock P.M., the City Council will meet at ' the City Hall in said City and will at said time, and place hear all parties interested in said improvements in whole or in part. The general nature of the improvements is the construction (in the lands and streets noted below) of the following improvements to -wit: CONSTRUCTION ITEMS: A. Street Improvements, including concrete surfacing, grading, storm sewer and related work, serving all of the area described as follows: All the streets, alleys, drives, lanes, boulevards and roads in Innsbruck First and Innsbruck Second Additions. WAGNER CITY MANAGER NEWS: August 18, 25, 1960 RESOLUTION NO. 101 EXHIBIT "B" NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Sealed bids will be received until 12:00 o'clock Noon on the 7th day of September, 1960, by the City Council of the City of Fridley, Minnesota, at the office of the City Manager for the furnishing of work and materials for the installation of Street Improvement Project Number 2 (1960). The project consists of the following approximate quantities: 17,000 Sq. Yds. Concrete Paving with Integral Curb and related work. All bids must be made upon printed proposal forms, furnished and in accordance with the plans and specifications. Plans and specifications may be examined at the office of the City Manager and copies may be had for the Contractor's individual use by applying to the Engineers, Comstock & Davis, Inc., Consulting Engineers, 1446 County Road "J" Minneapolis 21, Minnesota, telephone SUnset 4 -9346. Plans and specifications may be had by depositing $25.00 per copy. Bids must be made on the basis of cash payment for the work and accompanied by a cash deposit certified check on a responsible bank in the State of Minnesota, or a bidder's bond, and made pay- able without condition to the City of Fridley, Minnesota, in the amount of not less than 5% of the total amount of the bid accompanying such cash deposit, certified check or bidder's bond. The City Council reserves the right to waive any informalities in any bid received, and to reject any or all bids received, without explanation. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty days.
