RES 1960-102 - 000128162. The work to be performed under the INNSBRUCK 1 and 2 STREET SURFACING PROJECT, shall be performed under one contract. The City Manager shall accordingly prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper advertisements for bids upon the making of such improvements under such ap- proved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for three weeks (at least 21 days), and shall specify the work to be done and will state that bids will be opened and considered at 12:00 o'clock, Noon, on the 7th day of September, 1960, in the Council Chamber of the City Hall, City of Fridley, and that no bids will he con - sidered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk, and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond or certified check payable to the City for five percent (5 %) of the amount of such bid. That the advertisement for bids for the IiNNS- BRUCK 1 AND 2 STREET SURFACING PROJECT shall be substan- tially in form as that noted in Exhibit "B" attached here- to for reference and made a part hereof. THE MATER OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROvTEMENTS (RICKARD ROAD AND ALDEN WAY - W & S) WHEREAS, the construction of certain improvements is deemed to be in the interest of the City of Fridley and the property owners affected thereby. BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley as follows: 1. That the preliminary report submitted by Comstock and Davis, Inc., Consulting Engineers, is hereby received and accepted. 2. That this Council will meet on the 6th day of September 1960, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. at the City Hall in the City of Fridley for the purpose of holding a Public Hearing on the improvements noted in the Notice attached hereto and made a part thereof by reference, Exhibit "A ". (Exhibit "A" - See Publication Notices under dates of August 18th and August 25th, 1960). 3. That the area proposed to be assessed for said improve- ments and each of them as noted in said notice are all the lands and areas as noted in said notice: all of the same to be assessed proportionately according to the bene- fits received. 4. That the City Manager is authorized and directed to give notice of such public hearing by publishing a notice thereof in the official newspaper of the City of Fridley according to law, such notice to be sub- stantially in the form and substance of the notice attached hereto as Exhibit "A ". Brunsell RESOLUTION NO. 103 - 1960 A RESOLUTION RELATING TC THE PURCHASE OF PARK PROPERTY WHEREAS, the.citizens of the City of Fridley voted approval of a bond issue for the acquisition of Park property, and, WHEREAS, the Park Board and the Planning Commission of the City of Fridley have recommended to the City Council that ap- proximately 99 acres of property presently owned by the Locke Estate which lies between Highway 65 and Highway 56 and lies in the South z of Section 11, Township 30, Range 24, and is bounded on the North by the ?Minnesota Transfer Company right -of -way, and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley has consi- dered the recommendation of the Park Board and Planning Commis- sion and is in full agreement with such recommendation. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley, that: 1. The City of Fridley desires to purchase said approxi- mately 99 acres from the Locke Estate. 2. The City of Fridley asks that the Locke Estate, through its executor, Mr. Howard Crabtree, submit a sale price for said property, to the City Council, at its earliest convenience. 3. The City Council of the City of-Fridley intends to con - sumate the purchase of said property within the year 1960, if the price of said land is within the financial capabilities of the City of Fridley.
