RES 1960-137 - 00012875i RESOLUTION NO. 137 -1960 A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PRELIMINARY REPORT AND CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE LATTER OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS: (WASHINGTON AND JEFFERSON STREETS — 58TH TO 59TH) WHEREASO the construction of certain improvements is deemed to be in the interest of the City of Fridley and the property owners affected thereby. ' BE IT RESOLVED By the City Council of the City of Fridley as follows: 1. That the preliminary report submitted by CometBck and Davis, Inc., Consulting Engineers$ is hereby received and accepted. 2. That this Council will meet on the let day of November 1960, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. at the City Hall in the City of Fridley for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the improvements noted in the Notice attached hereto and made a part thereof by reference., ESchibit "A ". 3. That the area proposed to be assessed for said improve - ments and each of them as noted in said notice are all -the lands and areas as noted in said notice: All of the same to be assessed proportionately according to the benefits received. 1�. That the City Manager is authorized and directed to give notice of such Public Hearing by publishing a notice thereof in the official newspaper of the City of Fridley according to law, such notice to be substantially in the form and substance of the notice attached hereto ' as Exhibit "A". W erw`� ATTEST: � CITY C — Marvin Co Brunsell RESOLUTION NO. 138 — 1960 ' A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENTS., ADVERTISEMENT APPROVAL OF PLANSj, AND ORDERING FOR BIDS WHEREAS, the resolution of the City Council adopted the 20th day of September, 1960, set the date for hearing on the proposed improvements, as specifically noted in the notice of hearing att- ached hereto for reference as EXHIBIT "A ". and# WHEREAS., all the property owners whose property is liable to be assessed with the making of these improvements (as noted in said notice) were given ten (10 ) days published notice of the Council Hearing through two (2) weekly publications of the required notice.. and the hearing was held and the property owners heard thereon at the hearing., as noted in said notice. NOW., THEREFORE2 BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of ?ircOLUTION NO. 137 EXHIBIT "A" Project #48 CITY OF FRIDLEY NOTICE OF HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, has deemed it necessary and expedient that the improve- ments hereinafter described be made.. NOW, THEREFORF, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on the 1st day of November, 19609 at 7:30 o'clock p.M., the City Council will meet at the City Hall in said City, and will at said time, and place hear all parties interested in said improvements in whole or in part. The general nature of the improvements is the construction ( in the lands and streets noted below ) of the following improvements, to -wit: CONSTRUCTION ITEMS: A. Sanitary Sewer lateral and Service Connections located in all of the streets and serving all of the area described as follows: 1. That area hounded by 57th Avenue N.E. on the South, Wash- ington Street on the West, 59th Avenue N.E. on the North, and Jefferson Street on the East, and all lands adjacent and abutting thereto. ESTIMATEDCOST ............ ..............................$ 20,620.00 B. Water Mains and Service Connections in the following lands and along the following streets: Same area as Item A., Subdivision 1 above. ESTIMATEDCOST ............ ..............................$ 31,740.00 THAT THE TOTAL ESTIMATED COST OF SAD IMPROVEMENT IS .......$ 52060.00 THAT THE AREA PROPOSED TO BE ASSESSED FOR SAD IMPROVEMENTS (AND EACH OF THEM) IS AS FOLLOWS: All of the lands abutting all those streets lying within the following described lines: That area bounded by 57th Avenue N.E. on the South, Washington Street on the West, 59th Avenue N.E. on the North, and Jefferson Street on the East, and all of the lands adjacent and abutt- ing thereto. All of said lands to be assessed proportionately according to the benefits received by such improvements. That the Council proposes to proceed with each of said improvements as separate improvements, except as hereafter otherwise provided ?;y the Council all under the following aut?- ority, to -wit: Minnesota Laws 1953, Chapter 398 and law amendatory thereof, and in conformity with the City Charter.
