RES 1960-152 - 00012912RESOLUTION NO. 152 - 1960 RESOLUTION ORDERING IMFROVENIENT AND FINAL PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS WATER AND SEWER - WASHINGTON AND JEFFERSON STREETS (57th TO 59th ). WHEREAS, Resolution #137 - 1960 of the City Council adopted the 18th dy of October, 1960, set the date for he -ring on the proposed improvements, as specific -lly noted in the Notice of Hearing attached hereto for reference as Exhibit "A ", and WHEREAS, All of the property owners whose property is liable to be assessed with the making of these improvements (as noted in said notice) were given ten (10) d_ys published notice of the Council Hearing through two (2) weekly publications of the required notice, the hearing, as noted in said notice. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota as Follows: 1. That the following improvements proposed by Council resolution #137 - 1960 are hereby ordered to be effected and completed as soon as reasonably possible to -wit: a. All of the improvements as noted in the notice of hearing on the same as are noted (in Exhibit "A ") in said notice. That the work above may be consolidated with other areas as one improvement. 2. The work to be performed under this project may be performed under one or more contracts as may be deemed advisable upon receipt of bids. 3. Comstock and Davis, Consulting Engineers, are hereby desig- nated as the Engineer for this improvement. They shall prep -re final pl-ns and specifications for the making of such improvements. RESOLUTION NO. 152 EXHIBIT "A" Project #48 CITY OF FRIDLEY NOTICE OF HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, has deemed it necessary and expedient that the improve- ments hereinafter described be made. NOW, THEREFORE, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on the 1st day of November, 1960, at 7 :30 o'clock P.M., the City Council will meet at the City Hall in said City, and will at said time, and place hear all parties interested in said improvements in whole or in part. The general nature of the improvements is the construction (in the lands and streets noted below) of the following improvements, to -wit: CONSTRUCTION ITEMS: A. Sanitary Sewer Lateral and Service Connections located in all of the streets and serving all of the area described as follows: 1. That area bounded by 57th Avenue N.E. on the South, Wash- ington Street on the West, 59th Avenue N.E. on the North, and Jefferson Street on the East, and all lands adjacent and abutting thereto. ESTIMATED COST ...... ..............................$ 20,620.00 B. Water Mains and Service Connections in the following lands and along the following streets: Same area as Item A., Subdivision 1, above ESTIMATED COST ..... ..............................$ 31,740.00 THAT THE TOTAL ESTIMATED COST OF SAID IMPROVEMENT IS..$ 52,360.00 THAT THE AREA PROPOSED TO BE ASSESSED FOR SAID IMPROVEMENT ( AND EACH OF THEM) IS AS FOLLOWS: All of the lands abutting all those streets lying within the following described lines: That area bounded by 57th Avenue N.E. on the South, Washington Street on the West, 59th Avenue N.E. on the North, and Jefferson Street on the East, and all of the lands adjacent and abutting thereto. All of said lands to be assessed proportionately according to the benefits received by such improvements. That the Council proposes to proceed with each of said improve- ments as separate improvements, except as hereafter otherwise pro- vided by the Council all under the following authority, to -wit: Minnesota Laws 1953, Chapter 398, and law amendatory thereof, and in conformity with the City Charter.
