RES 1960-21 - 00012656RESOLUTION NO. 21 - 1960 RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVE21 -NT AND FINAL PLAN,'; AND SPEOIFICATIONS SW -26 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 17 -1960 of the City Council adopted the 1st day of March, 1960, set the date for hearing on the pro- posed improvements, as specifically noted in the Notice of Hear- ing attached hereto for reference as Exhibit "A ", and WHEREAS, All the property owners whose property is liable to be assessed with the making of these improvements (as noted in said notice) were given ten (10) days published notice of the Council Hearing through two (2) weekly Publications of the re- quired notice, and the hearing was held and the property owners heard thereon at the Hearing, as noted in said notice. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, as follows: 1. That the following improvements proposed by Council Resolution No. 17 -1960 are hereby ordered to be effected and completed as soon as reasonably possible, to -wit: a. All of the improvements, as noted in the notice of nearing on the same as are noted (in Exhi- bit "A") in said notice. That the work above may be consolidated with other areas as one improvement. 2. The work to be performed under this project may be performed under one or more contracts as may be deemed advisable upon receipt of bids. 3. Comstock & Davis Consulting Engineers, are hereby designated as the Engineer for this Improvement. They shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such Improvement. Brunse 1 RESOLUTION NO. 22 -.1960 A RESOLUTION CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE MATTER OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS: (JACKSON STREET) WHEREAS, the construction of certain improvements is deemed to be in the.interest of-the City of Fridley and the property own- ers affected thereby. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fridley, as follows: RESOLUTION N0. 21 EXHIBIT "A" CITY OF FRIDLEY NOTICE OF HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, has deemed it necessary and expedient that the improve- ments hereinafter described be made. NOW, THEREFCRE, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on the 15th day of March, 1960, at 7:30 o'clock P.M., the City Council will meet at the City Hall in said City, and will at the said time and place, hear all parties interested in said improvements in whole or in part. The general nature of the improvements is the construction (in the lands and streets noted below) of the following improve- ments to -wit: CONSTRUCTION ITEMS A. Sanitary Sewer Laterals and Service Connections located in all of the streets and serving all of the area described as follows: 1. Mississippi Street from Highway #65, east tothe Ramsey County Line. 2. 66th Avenue from Central Avenue, East to the Ramsey County Line. 3. Arthur Street from Mississippi to 67th Avenue. 4. Anoka Street from Mississippi to 67th Avenue. 5. Fridley Street from Mississippi Street to 67th Avenue. 6. McKinley from Mississippi Street to 66J Aven. N.E. 7. 664 Avenue from Fridley Street, East to the Ramsey County Line. 8. Easement between Channel Road and Central Avenue. 9. Central Avenue from Mississippi Street, North to Rice Creek. 10. Stinson Boulevard from Mississippi Street to 67th Avenue. ' ESTIMATED COST .... ..............................4 131030.00 B. Water Mains and Service Connections in the following lands and along the following streets: Same area as Item A, Subdivision 1 - 10 above. ESTIMATED COST ... ..............................$ 78,395.00 THAT THE TOTAL ESTIMATED COST OF SAID IMPROVEMENT IS$209,725.00 THAT THE AREA PROPOSED TO BE ASSESSED FOR SAID IMPROVEMENTS ( AND EACH OF THEM) IS AS FOLLOWS FOR CONSTRUCTION ITEM A, AND CONSTRUCTION ITEM B. ABOVE All of the lands abutting upon said streets and located North of Mississippi Street, East of Highway #65, South of Rice Creek and West of Stinson Boulevard. All of said lands assessed proportionately according to the benefits received by such improvements. That the Council proposes to proceed with each of said improve- ' ments as separate improvements, except as hereafter otherwise pro- vided by the Council all under the following authority, to -rit: Minnesota Laws, 1953, Chapter 398, and laws amendatory thereof, and in conformity with the City Charter.
