That the Council hereby agrees that the City of Fridley will pay one -half of the cost of said installation, which is estimated to be approximately $95000.00, and will provide the necessary power and will main- tain the system after installation, and hereby directs the Finance Director to forward to the State of "Minnesota, the City's share of this project upon its completion, and the de- termination of final cost. Greig ATTEST: / CITY Y MANAGER �C M yv F 7agner RESOLUTION NO. 28 - 1960 A RESOLUTION ORD ,RING IMPROVEMENTS, APPROVAL OF PLANS. AND ORDERING ADVERTISING FOR BIDS. WHEREAS, the resolution of the City Council adopted the 1st day of March, 1960, set the date for hearing on the proposed im- provements, as specifically noted in the notice of hearing attach- ed hereto for reference as EXHIBIT "A", and, WHEREAS, all the property owners whose property is liable to be assessed with the making of these improvements (as noted in said notice) were given ten (10) days published notice of the Council hearing through two (2) weekly publications of the re- quired notice, and the hearing was held and the property owners heard thereon at the hearing, as noted in said notice. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of Fridley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. That the following improvements heretofore proposed by Council resolution are hereby ordered to be effected and completed as soon as reasonably possible, to -wit: a. All of the improvements as noted in the notice of hearing on the same as are noted (in Exhibit "A ") in said notice except (none): that the work in- volved in said improvements as listed above shall be consolidated as one improvement and shall here- after be designated as: SEWER AND WATERPIAIN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 26 -1960. 2. The plans and specifications prepared by Comstock & Davis, Inc., Consulting Engineers, for such improve- ments and each of them, pursuant to the Council reso- lutions heretofore adopted, a copy of which plans and specifications are hereto attached and made a part hereof, are hereby approved and shall be filed with the City Clerk. 3. The work to be performed under SEWER AND WATERMAIN IM- PROVEMENT PROJ-ECT N0. 26 -1960, shall be performed un- der one contract. The City Manager shall accordingly prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper advertise- ments for bids upon the making of such improvements under such approved plans and specifications. The ad-. vertisement shall be published for 3 weeks (at least 21 days), and shall specify the work to be done and will state that bids will be opened and considered at 12:00 o'clock, Noon, on the 3rd day of May, 1960, in the Council chambers of the City Hall, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk, and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, or ' certified check payable to the City for five per cent (5 %) of the amount of such bid. ADOPTED BY T<IE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY, THIS 5TH DAY OF APRIL, 1960. <7 Z MAYOR o�_ CITY MANAGER RESOLUTION NO. 29 - 1960 A RESOLUTION CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE MATTER OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS: (GLEN CREEK ROAD) WHEREAS, the construction of certain improvements is deemed to be in the interest of the City of Fridley and the property owners affected thereby. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fridley, as follows: 1. That this Council will meet on the 19th day of April 1960, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. at the City Hall in -the City of Fridley for the purpose of holding a Public Hearing on the improvements noted in the Notice at- tached hereto and made a part hereof by reference, Exhibit "A ". 2. That the area Droposed to be assessed for said im- provements and each of them as noted in said notice are all the lands and areas as noted in said notice: all of the same to be assessed proportionately ac- cording to the benefits received. 3. That the City Manager is authorized and directed to give notice of such public hearing by publishing a notice thereof in the official newspaper of the City of Fridley according to law, such notice to be sub- stantially in the form and substance of the notice attached hereto as Exhibit "A ". NOW, THEREFORE, NOTICE IS HE3EBY GIVEN THAT on the 15th day of March, 1960, at 7:30 o'clock P.M., the City Council will meet at the City Hall in said City, and will at said time and place, hear all parties interested in said improvements in whole or in part. The general nature of the improvements is the construction ( in the lands and streets noted below) of the following improve- ments to wit: CONSTRUCTION ITEMS A. Sanitary Sewer Laterals and Service Connections located in all of the streets and serving all of the area described as follows: 1. Mississippi Street from Highway 65, East to the Ramsey County Line. 2. 66th Avenue from Central Avenue, East to the Ramsey County Line. 3. Arthur Street from Mississippi to 67th Avenue. 4. Anoka Street from Mississippi to 67th Avenue. 5. Fridley Street from Mississippi to 67th Avenue. 6. McKinley from Mississippi Street to 66J Avenue N.E. 7. 66J Avenue from Fridley Street, East to the Ramsey County Line. S. Easement between Channel Road and Central Avenue. 9. Central Avenue from Mississippi Street, North to Rice Creek 10. Stinson Boulevard from Mississippi Street to 67th Avenue. ESTIMATED COST ... ..............................$ 1319330.00 B. Water Mains and Service Connections in the following lands and along the following streets: Same area as Item A. Subdivision 1 — 10 above. ESTIMATED COST ... ..............................$ 78,395.00 THAT THE TOTAL ESTIMATED COST OF SAID IMPROVEMENT IS$209,725.00 THAT THE AREA PROPOSED TO BE ASSESSED FOR SAID IMPROVEMENTS ( AND EACH OF THEM ) IS AS FOLLOWS FOR CONSTRUCTION ITEM A, AND CONSTRUCTION ITEM B, ABOVE: All of the lands abutting upon said streets and located North of Mississippi Street, East of Highway 65, South of Rice Creek and West of Stinson Boulevard. All of said lands to be assessed proportionately according to the benefits received by such improvements. That the Council proposes to proceed with each of said improvements as separate improvements, except as hereafter otherwise provided by the Council all under the following authority, to —wit: Minnesota Laws, 1953, Chapter 398, and laws amendatory thereof, and in confor- mity with the City Charter.
