CITY OF FRIDLEY
NOTICE OF BEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, THE City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County,
Minnesota, has deemed it necessary and expedient that the improvements
hereinafter described be made.
NOW, THEREFORE, NOTICE IS HE"EBY GIVEN THAT on the 1st day of March,
1960, at 7:30 o'clock P.M., the City Council will meet at the City Hall
in said City, and will at said time, and place hear all parties inter-
ested in said improvements in whole or in part.
The general nature of the improvements is the construction (in the
lands and streets noted below) of the following improvements, to -wit:
CONSTRUCTION ITEM:
A. Sanitary Sewer Laterals and Service Connections located in all of the
streets and serving all of the area described as follows:
1. Matterhorn Drive from the South limits of the City of Fridley,
North to State Highway #100.
2. Matterhorn Circle - all.
3. Glacier Lane from Matterhorn Drive to Moritz Drive.
4. Rainer Pass from Glacier Lane to the South Limits of the
City of Fridley.
5. Moritz Drive from the South City limits of Fridley to
Trollhagen Drive.
6. Trollhagen Drive from Matterhorn Drive to Moritz Drive.
7. Windemere Drive from Trollhagen Drive to Windemere Circle West.
g. 531 Avenue from Trollhagen Drive to Johnson Street.
9. 53 Avenue from Matterhorn Drive to Johnson Street.

B. Water Mains and Service Connection in the following lands and
along the following streets:
Same area as Item A, Subdivision 1 - 9 above.

THAT THE TOTAL ESTIMATED COST OF SAID IMPROVEMENTS IS..$1040462.83
THAT THE AREA PROPOSED TO BE ASSESSED FOR SAID IMPROVEMENTS ( AND EACH
OF THEM) IS AS FOLLOWS:
FOR CONSTRUCTION ITEM A. AND CONSTRUCTION ITEM B. ABOVE
All of the lands abutting upon said streets and located in Inns-
bruck 1st and 2nd Additions.
All of said lands to be assessed proportionately according to the
benefits received by such improvements.
That the Council proposes to proceed with each of said improvements as
separate improvements, except as hereafter otherwise provided by the
Council all under the following authority, to -wit: Minnesota laws 1953,
Chapter 398 and laws amendatory thereof, and in conformity with the
City Charter.

RESOLUTION NO. 30 - 1960
A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENTS, APPROVAL
OF PLANS. AND OR".ERIPIG ADVERTISING FOR BIDS.
WHEREAS, the resolution of the City Council adopted the 1st
day of N:arch, 1960, set the date for hearing on the proposed im-
provements, as specifically noted in the notice of hearing attach-
ed hereto for reference as EXHIBIT "A", and,
WHEREAS, all the property owners whose property is liable to
be assessed with the making of these improvements (as noted in
said notice) were given ten (10) days published notice of the
Council hearing through two (2) weekly publications of the re-
quired notice, and the hearing was held and the property owners
heard thereon at the hearing, as noted in said notice.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Council of the City
of Fridley, Minnesota, as follows:
1. That the following improvements heretofore proposed by
Council resolution are hereby ordered to be effected
and completed as soon as reasonably possible, to -wit:
a. All of the improvements as noted in the notice of
hearing on the same as are noted (in Exhibit "A")
in said notice, except (none); that the work in-
volved in said improvements as listed above shall
be consolidated as one improvement and shall here-
after be designated as:
SEWER AND WATERMAIN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 29 -1960
2. The plans and specifications prepared by Comstock and
Davis, Inc., Consulting Engineers, for such improvements
and each of them, pursuant to the Council resolutions
heretofore adopted, a cony of which plans and specifica-
tions are hereto attached and made a part hereof, are
hereby approved and shall be filed with the City Clerk.
3. The work to be performed under SE'W'ER. AND WATERMAIN IM-
PROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 29 -1960, shall be performed under
one contract.
The City Manager shall accordingly prepare and cause to
be inserted in the official newspaper advertisements for
bids upon the making of such improvements under such ap-
proved plans and sr..ecifications. The advertisement shall
be published for 3 weeks (at least 21 days), and shall
specify the work to be done and will state that bids will
be opened and considered at 7:30 o'clock P.M., on the 3rd
day of May, 1960, in the Council chambers of the City
Hall, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed
and filed with the City Clerk, and accompanied by a cash
deposit, bid bond or certified check payable to the City
for five Ter cent (5n) of the amount of such bid. That
the advertisement for bids for FE1,,ER AND ,dATERMAIN IM-
PROVE ENT PROJECT NO. 29 -1960 shall be substantially in
form as that noted in Exhibit "B" attached hereto for
reference and made a part hereof.
