RES 1960-32 - 00012681RESOLUTION NO. 31 - 1960 RESOLUTION TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR ONE °CTJCE CAR BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fridley, as follows: 1. That it is in the interest of the City to purchase the following items or materials: ONE POLICE PATROL CAR 2. A copy of the plans and specifications for the above described items and materials, together with a pro - .posal for the method of purchase and the payment thereof have been presented to the Council by City Manager and the same are hereby approved and adopted as the plans and specifications, and the method of acquisition and payment to be. required by the City with respect to the acquisition of said items and materials. 3. The purchase of said items and materials as described above shall be effected by sealed bids to be received and opened by the City Council on the 3rd day of May, 1960. The City Manager is directed and aathorized to advertise for the purchase of said items and -aateri.als by scaled bid proposals .under notice as provided by law and the Charter of the City of Fridley, the notice to be substantially in form as that shown by exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part of by reference. Greig CITY YkiAGER - Earl P. ,agner RESOLUTION 110. 32 - 1960 A RESOLUTION ORDERING IHPROVEMKITS AND FINAL FLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS - SW27 IdHEREAS, Resolution #22 -1960 of the City Council adopted the 15th day of March, 1960, set the date for hearing on the ' proposed improvements, as specifically noted in the Notice of Hearing attached hereto for reference as Exhibit "A ", and WHEREAS, All the property owners whose property is liable to be assessed with the making of these improvements (as noted in said notics) were given ten (10) days published notice of the Council Hearing through two (2) weekly publications of the required notice, and the hearing was held and the property own- ers heard thereon at the hearing, as noted in said notice. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, as follows: 1. That the following improvements proposed by Council Resolution #22 -1960 are hereby ordered to be effect- ed and completed as soon as reasonably possible, to -wit: a. All of the improvements as noted in the notice of hearing on the same as are noted (in Exhi- bit "A ") in said notice. ' That the work above may be consolidated with other areas as one improvement. 2. The work to be performed under this project may be performed under one or more contracts as may be deemed advisable upon receipt of bids. 3. Comstock and Davis, Consulting Engineers, are here- by designated as the Engineer for this improvement. They shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvement. Brunsell ' RESOLUTION NO. 33 - 1960 A RESOLUTION ORDERING PRELIMINARY PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, AND ESTIMATES OF THE COSTS THEREOF: (LY DALE BUILDERS - 6TH) BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Fridley, as follows: 1. That it appears in the interest of the City and of the property owners affected that there be constructed cer- tain improvements, to -wit: a. WATER LATERALS, service connections and appurte- nances in the following lands and along the follow - inZ streets: 1. All those streets lying within the following described lines bordered on the west by High - way 465, on the north by Parkview Heights Addition, Block 3, on the east by Parkview ' Oaks 1st Addition and on the south by Lot 3, Auditor's Subdivision #25. b. SEWER LATERALS, service connections, and appurte- nances, in the following lands and along the follow - ing streets: 1. In the area described in paragraph a., Subdivi- sion (1) above. That the firm of Comstock & Davis, Inc., is hereby authorized and directed to draw preliminary plans and specifications and to tabulate the results of his or their estimates of the costs of said improvements, and to make a preliminary report of his or their find- ings to the Council not later than at their earliest convenience. RESOLUTION NO. 32 EXHIBIT "A" CITY OF FRIDLEY NOTICE OF HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, has deemed it necessary and expedient that the improve- ments hereinafter described be made. NOW, THEREFORE, NOTICE IS HEREFY GIVEN THAT on the 5th day of April 1960, at 7:30 o'clock P.M., the City Council will meet at the City Hall in said City, and will at said time, and place hear ' all parties interested in said improvements in whole or in part. The general nature of the improvements is the construction (in the lands and streets noted below) of the following improve - ments to —wit: CONSTRUCTION ITEMS A. Sanitary Sewer Lateral and Service Connections located in all of the streets and serving all of the area described as follows: 1. Jackson Street from Bennett Drive to Mississippi Street. ESTIMATED COST ....... ..............................0 29670.25 B. Water mains and Service Connections located in all of the streets and all of the following lands: Same area as Item A, Subdivision 1, above. ESTIMATED COST ....... ..............................$ 2,217.60 THAT THE TOTAL ESTIMATED COST OF SAID IMPROVEMENT IS ... $ 4,887.85 THAT THE AREA PROPOSED TO BE ASSESSED FOR SAID IMPROVEMENTS ' ( AND EACH OF THEM ) IS AS FOLLOWS: FOR CONSTRUCTION ITEM A, AND CONSTRUCTION ITEM B, ABOVE: All of the lands abutting upon said streets named above or loc- ated in Lots 20 through 30, inclusive, Block 4, Florence Park, Lot 11, Block 1, Christie Addition, East 150 feet of North 300 Feet of N.W. 4 of N.E. i of S.E. —„', Section 14, Township 30, Range 24. All of said lands to be assessed proportionately according to the benefits received by such improvements. That the Council proposes to rroceed with each of said Improve- ments as separate improvements, except as hereafter otherwise provided by the Council, all under the following authority, to —wit: Minnesota Laws 1953, Chapter 398, and laws amendatory hereof, and in conformity with the City Charter.
