CITY OF FRIDLEY
NOTICE OF HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County,
Minnesota has deemed it necessary and expedient that the improvement
hereinafter described be made.
' NOW, THEREFORE, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on the 19th day of
April, 1960, at 7:30 o'clock P.M., the City Council will meet in
the City Hall in said City, and will at said time and place, hear
all parties inerested in said improvements in whole or in part.
The general nature of the improvement is the construction of
the following improvement, to -wit:
CONSTRUCTION ITEM
Storm Water Drainage Pipe, Manholes, Catch Basins, and appurten-
ances, serving the following area:
Oak Creek Addition, Plat 21 Oak Creek Addition, and Lots 36
and 38 Auditor's Subdivision No. 77.
ESTIMATED COST ......... ..............................$ 1,660.00
THAT THE AREA PROPOSED TO BE ASSESSED FOR SAID IMPROVEMENT IS AS
FOLLOWS:
All of the lands abutting upon said streets named above or loc-
ated in the proposed plat of Oak Creek Addition, Plat 2, Oak
Greek Addition, and Lots 36 and 38, Auditor's Sub. No. 77.
All of said lands to be assessed proportionately according
to the benefits received by such improvement.
That the Council proposes to proceed with each of said improve-
ments as separate improvements, except as hereafter otherwise pro-
vided by the Council all under the following authority, to -wit:
Minnesota Laws 1953, Chapter 398 and laws amendatory thereof, and
in conformity with the City Charter.

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
Sealed bids will be received publicly opened and considered by the
City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, at the
office of the City Manager in said City on the 6th day of June, 1960,
at 12:00 o'clock Noon for the furnishing of work and materials for the
installation of Sewer and Water and Storm Sewer Improvement Project #36.
The project consists of the following approximate quantities:
9300 Lin. Ft. 8" and 6" Sanitary Sewer Lines with appurtenances.
10,500 Lin. Ft. 6" and 1" Water lines with appurtenances.
180 Lin. Ft. 15" CMP Storm Sewer with appurtenances.
All in accordance with plans and specifications prepared for the
City of Fridley , Minnesota, by Constock & Davis, Inc. Consulting
Engineers, 1446 County Road "J ", Minneapolis Minnesota, Telephone
SUnset 4,9346.
Plans and specifications may be examined at the office of the City
Manager, and copies may be obtained for the Contractor's individual
use by applying to the Engineers and depositing withthe Engineers
$25.00 for each set. The deposit will be refunded to each bidder
submitting a bona -fide bid upon return of the documents in good con-
dition within ten (10) days from the date of opening bid.
Bids must be made on the basis of cash payment for the work and-
accompanied by a cash deposit, certified check ( on a responsible
bank in the State of Minnesota ) or a bidder's bond and made payable
without condition to the City of Fridley, Minnesota, in an amount
of not less than 5% of the total amount of the bid.
The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids
and to waive any informalities in any bids received without expla-
nation.
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days.

RESOLUTION NO. 40 - 1960
A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENTS, APPROVAL
OF PLANS, AND ORDERIiiNG ADVERTISING FOR BIDS.
WHEREAS, the resolution of the City Council adopted the 5th
day of April, 1960, set the date for hearing on the proposed im-
provements, as specifically noted in the notice of hearing attach-
ed hereto for reference as EXHIBIT "A", and,
WHEREAS, all the property owners whose property is liable
to be assessed with the making of these improvements (as noted
in the notice of hearing) were given ten (10) days published
notice of the Council hearing through two 2 weekly publications
of the required notice, and the hearing was held and the property

wners heard thereon at the hearing, as noted in said notice.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Council of the City
of Fridley, Minnesota, as follows:
1. That the following improvements heretofore proposed by
Council resolution are hereby ordered to be effected
and completed as soon as reasonably possible, to -wit:
a. All of the improvements as noted in the notice of
_ hearing on the same as are noted (in Exhibit "A")
in said notice, except (none); that the work in-
volved in said improvements as listed above shall
hereafter be designated as:
STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 17 -1960
' 2. The plans and specifications prepared by Comstock and
Davis, Inc., Consulting Engineers, for such improve-
ments and each of them, pursuant to the Council resolu-
tions heretofore adopted, a copy of which plans and
specifications are hereto attached and made a part here-
of, are hereby approved and shall be filed with the
City Clerk.
3. The work to be performed under STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT NO. 17 -1960, shall be performed under one con-
tract.
The City Manager shall accordingly prepare and cause
to be inserted in the official newspaper advertisements
for bids upon the making of such improvements under such
approved plans and specifications. The advertisement
shall be published for 3 weeks (at least 21 days), and
shall specify the work to be done and will state that
bids will be opened and considered at 12:00 o'clock,
Noon, on the 6th day of June, 1960, in the Council Cham-
bers of the City Hall, and that no bids will be consider-
ed unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk, and ac-
companied by a cash deposit, bid bond, or certified
check n_ayable to the City for five percent (554) of the
amount of such bid. That the advertisement for bids for
STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 1v0. 17 -1960 shall be sub-
stantially in form as that noted in Exhibit "B" attached
hereto for reference and made a part hereof.
ADOPTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY, THIS 19TH
