RES 1960-42 - 00012704RESOLUTION NO. 42 — 1960 A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PRELIMINARY REPORT AND CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE MATTER OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS: (SANITARY SEWER INTERCEPTOR SYSTEM) WHEREAS, the construction of certain improvements is deemed to be in the interest of the City of Fridley and the property owners affected thereby. ' BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley, as follows: 1. That the preliminary report submitted by Comstock and Davis, Inc., Consulting Engineers, is hereby received and accepted. 2. That this Council will meet on the 3rd day of May 1960, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. at the City Hall in the City of Fridley for the purpose of holding a Public Hearing on the improvements noted in the Notice attached hereto and made a part thereof by reference, Exhibit "A ". 3. That the area proposed to be assessed for said improvements and each of them as noted in said notice are all the lands and areas as noted in said notice: all of the same to be assessed propor- tionately according to the benefits received! 4. That the City Manager is authorized and directed to give notice of such public hearing by publishing a notice thereof in the official newspaper of the City of Fridley according to law, such notice to be substantially in the form <nd substance of the notice attached hereto as Exhibit "A": ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY THIS 19TH DAY OF APRIL, 1960 C1� . Brunsell ":e RESOLUTION NO. 42 EXHIBIT "Au Project /#24 CITY OF FRIDLEY NOTICE OF ITPARING ON IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, has deemed it necessary and expedient that the improvements hereinafter described be made. NOW, THERFFORE, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on the 3rd day of May, 1960, at 7:30 o'clock P.M., the City Council will meet at the City Hall in said City, and will at said time, and place hear all parties interested in said improvements in whole or in part. , The general nature of the improvements is the construction (in the lands and streets noted below) of the following improvements to —wit: CONSTRUCTION ITEM: A. Sanitary Sewer Interceptor System located in and serving all of the area described as follows: 1. That portion of the City of Fridley lying north of Rice Creek which is not served with $ anitary Sewer at the present time. The bound- aries are the Great Northern and Northern Pacific Railways on the west, the City limits on the north and east, and Rice Creek on the South. ESTIMATED COST ............. ..............................0 732,136.00 THAT THE AREA PROPOSED TO BE ASSESSED FOR SAID IMPROVEMENTS ( AND EACH OF THEM) IS AS FOLLOWS — FOR CONSTRUCTION ITEM A, ABOVE All of the lands located in that portion of the City of Fridley lying north of Rice Creek (which is not served with Sanitary Sewer at the presert time), the boundaries of which are the Great Northern and Northern Pacific Railways on the west, the City ' Limits on the north and east, and Rice Creek on the South. All of said lands to be assessed proportionately according to the benefits received by such improvements. That the Council proposes to proceed with each of said improve- ments as separate improvements, except as hereafter otherwise provided by the Council all under the following authority to —wit: Minnesota Laws 1953, Chapter 398 and laws amendatory thereof, and in conformity with the City Charter.
