RESOLUTION NO. 48 -1969
- A RESOLUTION REGARDING PROPOSED LEGISLATIVE CHANGE
IN THE FIREMEN'S PENSION LEGISLATION
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Fridley,
Anoka County, Minnesota, as follows:
WHEREAS, the Fridley Firemen's Relief Association has
requested an amendment to the existing legislation estab-
lishing their retirement pension; and
WHEREAS, the Fridley City Council has previously passed
a Resolution supporting the requested legislative change; and
WHEREAS, the Council has reviewed actuarial studies re-
garding the effect of the proposed changes; and
WHEREAS, the Council is of the opinion that the existing
and future revenues will make said plan as revised actuari-
ally sound.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved, that the Fridley City Council
acknowledges that they understand the potential cost of a
retirement program as contained in the above legislative re-
quest and support the proposed legislation.
