RES 1960-72 - 00012758RESOLUTION NO. 71 - 1960 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF BLOCK 161 MOORE LAKE ADDITION WHEREAS, it has been determined advantageous for the City of Fridley to purchase Block 16, Moore Lake Addition. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Fridley hereby offers to purchase Block 16, Moore Lake Addi- tion, for the sum to be agreed upon. Greig L -GCiLC � W • CITY MANAGER - Earl P, agner RESOLUTION NO. 72 - 1960 A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND FINAL PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS - NORTH UNIVERSITY WATERSHED AREA WHEREAS, Resolution #61 -1960 of the City Council adopted ' the 17th day of May, 1960, set the date for hearing on the proposed improvements, as specifically noted in the Notice of Hearing attached hereto for reference as Exhibit "A ", and WHEREAS, All of the property owners whose property is liable to be assessed with the making of these improvements (as noted in said notice) were given ten (10) days published notice of the Council Hearing through two (2) weekly publications of the required notice, and the hearing was held and the property owners heard thereon at the hearing, as noted in said notice. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, as follows: 1. That the following improvements proposed by Council Resolution #61 -1960 are hereby ordered to be effected and completed as soon as reasonable possible, to -wit: a. All of the improvements as noted in the notice of hearing on the same as are noted (in Exhibit "All) in said notice That the work above may be consolidated with other areas as one improvement. ' 2. The work to be performed under this project may be per- formed under one or more contracts as may be deemed advisable uoon receipt of bids. 3. Comstock and Davis, Inc., Consulting Engineers, are hereby designated as the Engineer for this improvement. They shall prepare final plans and specifications for the making of such improvement. Brunsell RV—SOLUTION NO. 72 MIBIT "A" Pro,iect 805 CITY OF FRIDLEY NOTICE OF HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, has deemed it necessary and expedient that the improvements hereinafter described be made. NOW, THEREFOR?, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on the 7th day of June, 1960, at 7:30 o'clock P.M., the City Council will meet at the City Hall in said City, and will at said time, and place, hear all parties inter- ested in said improvements in whole or in part. The general nature of the improvements is the construction ( in the lands and streets noted below) of the following improvements, to -wit: CONSTRUCTION ITEM: A. Storm Sewer System for North University Watershed Area located in and serving all of the area described as follows: 1. Area bounded generally by T.H. No. 100 on the South, Great Nor- thern and Northern Pacific Railroad right of way on the West, Mississippi Street, 64th Avenue and 61st Avenue on the north, and Jackson Street and the extended line of Jackson Street on the east and by all benefited and abutting property. ESTIMATEDCOST ............ ..............................$ 519,724.00 THAT THE AREA PROPOSED TO BE ASSESSED FOR SAID IMPROVEMENTS ( AND EACH OF THEM) IS AS FOLLOWS: FOR CONSTRUCTION ITEM A, ABOVE: All of the lands located in the area bounded generally by T.H. No. 100 on the south, Great Northern and Northern Pacific Railroad right of way on the west, Mississippi Street, 64th Avenue and 61st Avenue on the north, and Jackson Street and the extended line of Jackson Street on the east, and by all benefited and abutting property. All of said lands to be assessed proportionately according to the benefits received by such improvements. That the Council proposes to proceed with each of said improvements as separate improvements, except as hereafter otherwise provided by the Council all under the following authority, to -wit: Minnesota Laws 1953, Chapter 398 and laws amendatory thereof, and in conformity with the City Charter.
