Brunsell RESOLUTION N0, 129 -1962 RESOLUTION TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR EQUIPMENT STORAGE STEEL BUILDING BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fridloy, as follows: 1. That it is in the interest of the City to purchase the follow- ing items or materials for the Publics Works Department: ONE EQUIPMENT STORAGE STEEL BUILDING 2. A copy of the plans and specifications for the above described items and materials, together with a proposal for the method of purchase and the payment thereof have been presented to the Council by the City Manager and the same are hereby approved and adopted as the plans and specifications, and the method of acquisition and payment to be required by the City with respect to the acquisition of said items and materials. 3. The purchase of said items and materials as described above shall be effected by sealed bids to be received and opened by the City Council on the 17th day of Se- tember, 1962. The City Manager is directed and authorized to advertise for the purchase of said items and materials by sealed bid proposals under notice as provided by law and the Charter of the City of Fridley, the notice to be substantially in form as that shown by Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part of by reference. Said notice shall be published at least 15 days or through two (2) publica- tions in the official newspaper of the City of Fridley. W9 ner RESOLUTION NO. 129 EXHIBIT "A" CITY OF FRIDLEY NOVICE TO BIDDERS EQUIPMENT STORAGE STEEL BUILDING The City Council of the City of Fridley will accept bids on !a) furnishing one 32' X 6 -' Equipment Storage Steel Building with sliding doors or, (b) furnishing and erecting said building, on the 17th day of September, 1962, until 12:00 o'clock Noon on said date at the City Hall 6431 University Avene N.L. Fridley 21, Minnesota (Tel. 560- 3450). All bids must meet the minimum requirements of the specifications. Failure to comply with this section can result in disqualification of the bid. Each bid or bids, shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond i_n an amount of not less than 5%' of the bid or bids, which check or bond shall be forfeited if the bidder neglects or refuses to enter into a contract, or to furnish a 100% performance bond after his bid has been accepted. The City reserves the right to accept the bid or bids which are determined to be in the best interest of the City. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and waive all informalities or technicalities in any bid. The City Council also reserves the right to consider such factors as time of delivery or performance, experience and responsibility of the bidder, past performance of similar types of items or material, avail- ability of replacement parts, and other similar factors that it may determine in the best interest of the City. Copies of the specifications and general conditions may be exam- ined in the O -lice of the City "ngineer, or copies may be obtained from his office.
