RES 1962-139 - 000125131 37 RESOLUTION NO. 139 -1962 RESOLUTION CALLING A PRIMARY ELECTION AND SETTING A DATE THEREOF. BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Fridley: Section 3. The polling places for said Primary Election shall be as follows: A. Ward #1 - Precinct #1 Precinct #2 B. ward #2 C. ward #3 (Woodcrest School) (Hayes School) (Fridley Junior High School) (Fridley City Hall) Section 4. That the polling places will be open from 7:00 o'clock A.M. to 8:00 o'clock P.M. of said date. Section 5. That the following named persons are hereby appointed to act as judges and clerks for said election, except that the City Clerk is hereby authorized to appoint qualified substitutes in case of inability to act, or conflict of interest as set forth in Chapter 4, Section 4.05 of the City Charter: Ward #1 - Precinct #1 Mrs. Marie Hughes Mrs. Icy Borg Mrs. Fred Sprungman Mrs. Collette Bourdeaux Mrs. Arlene Peterson Mrs. Vera Hitzman Mrs. Reuben Paulson Mrs. Monica Fredrick Mrs. Donna Johnson Section 1. That the City Clerk of the City of Fridley has re- Precinct #2 ported that four (4) or more candidates have filed Mrs.Elaine Nieman with his office for election to a city -wide office, namely ' Mayor and also Councilman -at- Large. Mrs. Gladys Marcus Section 2. That accordingly, pursuant to the Charter of the Patricia Loughry City of Fridley (Chapter 4, Section 4.03, as Doris M. Keith amended), the Council hereby provides for and calls a Primary Barbara Swart Election of the City of Fridley to be held in the City of Mrs. Birgit L. Pearson Fridley on October 4, 1962, at which election the electors of Hartman the City shall vote and cast a ballot with respect to the office of Mayor and Councilman -at- Large; and thereafter the two candi- Marcucci dates receiving the highest number of votes for such office at such election, shall be deemed the candidates for the office to be voted upon at the Regular forthcoming City Election to be held on November 6, 1962. Brunsell RESOLUTION NO. 140 -1962 RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND FINAL PLANS AND SPECIFI- CATIONS - STREET SURFACING - STREETS 1962 -2B (RIVER EDGE WAY) WHEREAS, Resolution #124 -1962 of the City Council adopted the 4th day of September, 1962, set the date for hearing on the proposed improvements, as specifically noted in the Notice of Hearing attached hereto for reference as Exhibit "A?, and WHEREAS, all of the property owners whose property is liable to be assessed with the making of these improvements (as noted in said notice) were given ten (10) days mailed notice and published notice of the Council hearing through two (2) weekly publications of the required notice, and the hear- ing was held and the property owners heard thereon at the hearing, as noted in said notice. NOW, THEREFORE, BE -IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, as follows: 1. That the following improvements proposed by Council Resolution #124 -1962 are hereby ordered to be effected and completed as soon as reasonably possible to -wit: a. All of the improvements as noted in the notice of hearing on the same as are noted (in Exhibit "A ") in said notice attached hereto for reference. That the work above may be consolidated with other.areas as one improvement. 2.
