RESOLUTION NO. 17 -1962
RESOLUTION AGREEING TO CONSTRUCTION OF PORTION OF CENTRAL AVENUE
WHEREAS, the Anoka County Highway Department is preparing plans
and specifications for the construction of a portion of County
State Aid Highway Number 35 (Central Avenue Northeast) between
Trunk Highway Number 65 and County State Aid Highway Number 6
(Mississippi Street) in the City of Fridley, viz., S.A.P. 02-
635= 1, and
WHEREAS, the County is agreeable to the construction of con-
crete curb and gutter and sharing the cost with the City according
to the County's policy of one -half to the City and one -half to
the County.
NOW, BE IT RESOLVED, That the City of Fridley -agree to partici-
pate in the construction of concrete curb and gutter in State Aid
Project 02- 63. -01 along old Central Avenue Northeast between Trunk
Highway Number 65 and C.S.A.H. #6 ( Mississippi Street) pay'ng one -
half the cost thereof and reimbursing the County as estimates are
paid, and that the County Engineer is authorized to prepare such
plans and specifications for the use of the City, and make further
report thereon to the City, the same to be received as a prelim-
inary report of feasibility for the use of the City.
IT IS FURTHER UNDERSTOOD, That before the County finally awards
a contract for the construction of said project, the City will execute
a formal agreement with the county and concur in award of the con-
tract.
