RESOLUTION NO. 26 - 1962
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PRELIMINARY REPORT OF ANOKA COUNTY ENGINEER
AND CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE MATTER OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN
IMPRCVEMENTS (CURB AND GUTTER ST 1962 -1 )
WHEREAS, the construction of certain improvements is deemed
to be in the interest of the City of Fridley and the property owners
affected thereby.
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley,
as follows:
1. That the Preliminary report submitted by the County of
Anoka Engineer is hereby received and accepted.
2. That this Council will meet on the 7th day of May, 1962
at 8:00 o'clock P.M. at the City Hall in the ity of
Fridley for the purpose of holding a Public Hearing
on the improvements noted in the Notice attached hereto
and made a part thereof by reference, Exhibit "A ".
3. That the area proposed to be assessed for said improvements
and each of them as noted in said notice are all the lands
and areas as noted in said notice: All of the same to be
assessed proportionately according to the benefits received.
4. That the City Manager is authorized and directed to give
notice of such Public Hearing by publishing a notice
thereof in the official newspaper of the City of Fridley
according to law, such notice to be substantially in the
form and substance of t;e notice attached hereto as
Exhibit "A ".

1962 -1 Streets
CITY OF FRIDLEY
NOTICE OF HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka
County, Minnesota, has deemed it necessary and expedient that
the improvements hereinafter described be made.
NOW, THEREFORE, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on the 7th
day of May, 1962, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., the City Council will
meet at the City Hall in said City, and will at said time,
and place, hear all parties interested in said improvements
in whole or in part.
The general nature of the improvements is the construction
(in the lands and streets noted below) of the following improve-
ments, to -wit:
CONSTRUCTION ITEMS
A. Portland Cement Concrete Curb and Gutter located inall
of the following streets and serving all of the area
described as follows:
1. Central Avenue from State Trunk Highway #65 to
Mississippi St. NE.
THAT THE TOTAL ESTIMATED COST OF SAID IMPROVEMENTS IS ... $ 309916.60
THAT THE AREA PROPOSED TO BE ASSESSED FOR SAID IMPROVEMENTS IS
AS FOLLOWS:
All of the lands abutting upon said streets named above,
and all lands adjacent and abutting thereto.
All of the said lands to be assessed proportionately
according to the benefits received by such improvements, with
one -half the cost to be borne by the County of Anoka.
That the City Council proposes to proceed with said improve-
ments, under the following authority, to -wit: Minnesota Laws
1953, Chapter 398 and laws amendatory thereof, and in conformity
with the City Charter.
