RES 1962-27 - 00012341RESOLUTION NO. 27 -1962
At a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Fridley
duly held on the 16th Day of Aprii, 1962, the following resolution
was offered by Councilman 'w+olke, Seconded by Councilman Sheridan:
to -wit:
' WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Highways has prepared preliminary
plans for the improvement of a part of Trunk Highway Number 393 re-
numbered as Trunk Highway Number 694 within the corporate limits of
the City of iridley being 53rd Avenue N. #. from TH #47 to Trunk
Highway #65 including the elimination of the frontage road in the
Southeast quadrant of TH #47 and TH #694 except for the connection of
4th street to 5th Street at their north termination and the extension
of University Avenue. Inplace to terminate in a cul -de -sac approx.
500' N. of the centerline of 53rd Avenue North.
WHEREAS, said preliminary plans are on file in the office of
the Department of Highways, Saint Paul, Minnesota, being marked,
labeled, and identified as 0285 -12 (694393); and
WHEREAS, copies of said preliminary plans as so marked, labeled
and identified are also on file in the office of the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, the term "said preliminary plans" as hereinafter used
in the body of this resolution shall be deemed and intended to mean,
refer to, and incorporate the preliminary plans as in the foregoing
recitals particularly identified and described:
NOW, THEN) BE IT RESOLVED, that said preliminary plans for the
improvement of 53rd Avenue Northeast in conjunction with Trunk High-
way Number 393 renumbered Trunk Highway Number 694 within the limits
of the City of Fridley be and hereby are approved.
Upon the call of the roll the following Councilmen and Mayor
voted in favor of the Resolution: Mayor Oreig, Councilmen Sheridan,
Wolke, Nee. Johanson absent.
The following Councilmen voted against the adoption: None
whereupon the Mayor.and presiding officer declared the Resolution
adopted.
