RES 1962-46 - 0001237654 RESOLUTION NO. 45 -1962 A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PRELIMINARY REPORT AND CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE. MATTER OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS: Sanitary Sewer Project #59. WHEREAS, the construction of certain improvements is deemed to be in the interest of the City of Fridley and the property owners affected thereby. BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley, as follows: 1. That the preliminary report submitted by Comstock & Davis, Inc., Consulting Engineers, is hereby received and accepted. 2. That this Council will meet on the 18th 'day of June, 1962, at 8:00 o'clock P.M. at the City Hall in the City of Fridley for the purpose of holding a Public Hearing on the improvement noted in the Notice attached hereto and made a part thereof by reference, Exhibit "A ". 3. That the area proposed to be assessed for said improvements and each of them as noted in said notice are all the lands and areas as noted in said notice: All of the same to be assessed proportionately accord- ing to the benefits received. . 4. That the City Manager is authorized and directed to give notice of such Public He by publishing a notice thereof in the official newspaper of the City of Fridley according to law, such notice to be sub- stantially in the form and substance of the notice attached hereto as Exhibit "A ". Grei RESOLUTION NO. 46 -1962 RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND FINAL PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS - (STORM SEWER, WATER AND SEWER PROJECT NO. 58). WHEREAS, Resolution #42 -1962 of the City Council adopted the 21st day of May, 1962, set the date for hearing on the proposed improvements, as specifically noted in the Notice of Hearing attached hereto for reference as Exhibit "A ", and WHEREAS, All of the property owners whose property is liable to be assessed with the making of these improvements (as noted in said notice) were given ten (10) days published notice of the Council hearing through two (2) weekly publications of the required notice, and the hearing was held and the property owners heard thereon at the hearing, as noted in said notice. C BESOLL1TION N0. 46 EXHIBIT "A" SS & SW #58 CITY OF FRIDLEY NOTICE OF HIIARING ON IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, has deemed it necessary and expedient that the improve- ments hereinafter described be made. NOW, THEREFORE, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on the 4th day of June, 1962, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., the City Council will meet at the City Hall in said City, and will at said time, and place hear all parties interested in said improvements in whole or in part. The general nature of the improvements is the construction (in the lands and streets noted below) of the following improve- ments, to -wit: CONSTRUCTION ITIM: A. Storm Sewer and Water Service Connections and Sanitary Sewer Lateral and Service Connections located inall of the Streets and serving all of the area described as follows: Central Avenue (County State Aid Highway #35) from Hathaway Lane to Mississippi St. NE. Mississippi Street NF, from Central Avenue NE (County State Aid Highway #35)to East Corporate Limits (Stinson Blvd.) East Corporate Limits (Stinson Blvd.) from Mississippi Street NE to T.H. #100 (694). T.H. #100 (694) from East Corporate Limits (Stinson Blvd.) to T.H. #65. T.H. #65 from T.H. #100 (694) to Hathaway Lane ESTIMATED COST ... ..............................$ 56,230.00 THAT THE AREA PROPOSED TO BE ASSESSED FOR SAID IMPROVEMENT IS AS FOLLOWS: FOR CONSTRUCTION ITEM A, ABOVE: All of the land abutting upon said streets named above and all lands adjacent and abutting thereto. All of said land to be assessed proportionately according to the benefits received by such improvements. That the Council proposes to proceed with each of said improve- ments as separate improvements, except as h- reafter otherwise pro- vided by the Council all under the following authority, to -wit: Minnesota Lairs 1953, Chapter 398 and laws amendatory thereof, and in conformity w th the City Charter. That the following improvements proposed by Council Resolution ;'42 -1962 are hereby ordered to be effected and completed as soon as reasonably possible to -wit: a. All of the improvements as noted in the notice of hearing on the same as are noted (in Exhibit "A") in said notice. That the work above may be consolidated with other areas as one improvement. 2. The work to be performed under this project may be performed under one or more contracts as may be deemed advisable upon receipt of bids. 3. Comstock and Davis, Inc., Consulting Engineers and the City Engineer, are hereby designated as the 'Engineers for this improvement.
