RES 1962-49 - 000123835'7 RESOLUTION NO. 48 -1962 A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PRELIMINARY REPORT AND CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE MATTER OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS: STORM SEWER PROJECT NO. 53. WHEREAS, the construction of certain improvements is deemed ' to be in the interest of the City of Fridley and the property owners affected thereby. BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley, as f of l ows : 1. That the preliminary report submitted by Comstock & Davis, Inc., Consulting Engineers, is hereby received and accepted. 2. That this Council will meet on the 2nd day of July, 1962, at 8 :00 &'clock P.M. at the City Hall in the City of Fridley for the purpose of holding a Public Hearing on the improvement noted in the Notice attached hereto and made a part thereof by reference, Exhibit "A ". 3. That the area proposed to be assessed for said improvements and each of them as noted in said notice are all the lands and areas as noted in said notice: All of the same to be assessed proportionately according to the benefits received. 4. That the City Manager is authorized and directed to give notice of such Public Hearing by publishing a notice thereof in the official newspaper of the City of Fridley according to law, such notice to be sub- stantially in the form and substance of the notice attached hereto as Exhibit "A ". Greig RESOLUTION N0. 49 -1962 A RESOLUTION ORDERING PRELIMINARY PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND ESTIMATES OF COSTS THEREOF: (STREETS - PROJECT ST. 1962 -2) BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Fridley as follows: ' 1. That it appears iu the interest of the City and of the property owners affected that there be constructed certain improvements, to -wit: a. Street improvements, including grading, stabilized base, blacktop, curb and gutter and incidental drainage facilities, located as follows: (1) Along 572 Avenue N.E. from 2nd Street N.E. to 22 Street N. E. (2) Along Charles,Street N.E. from East River Road to Anna Avenue. b. That petitions relative to said improvements have been received and filed with the City as follows: (1) Petition No. 17 -1962 relating to Item a (1) above. (2) Petition No. 32 -1961 relating to Item a (2) above. 2. That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to draw preliminary plans and specifications and to tabulate the results of his estimates of the costs of said improve- ments, including every item of cost from inception to , completion and all fees and expenses incurred (or to be incurred) in connection therewith, or the financing thereof, and to make a preliminary report of his findings, stating therein whether said improvements are feasible and whether they can best be made as proposed, or in connection with some other improvements (and the estimated cost as recommended), including also a description of the lands or area as may receive benefits therefrom and as may be proposed to be assessed. 3. That the City Clerk shall act to ascertain the name and address of the owner of each parcel of land directly affected or within the area of lands as may be proposed to be assessed for said improve- ments (and each of them); and, upon receipt from said Engineer of the said preliminary report, calculate estimates of assess- ments as may be proposed relative thereto against each of said lands. 4. That said preliminary report of the Engineer and estimates of assessments of the Clerk, shall be furnished to the Council, and made available for inspection to the owner of any parcel of land as may be affected thereby at any public hearing held relative thereto, as well as at any prior time reasonable and convenient.
