RES 1962-91 - 00012447y `Z RESOLUTION NO. 90 -1962 A RESOLUTION DIRECTING PUBLICATION OF HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR WATER AND SEWER MAINS, REGULAR SPECIAL ASSESSMENT FUND BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County Minnesota, as follows: 1. The City Council shall meet at the City Hall in the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota on the 27th day of August, 1962, at 8:00 o'clock P.M. to pass upon - the proposed assessment for the following named improve- ments: a. Water and Sewer Mains, Regular Special Assess- ment Fund. (Rice Creek Plaza, North Addition) 2. The City Manager shall publish notices of the time and place of meeting in the official newspaper of the City, at least two (2) weeks prior to such meeting. Brunsell RESOLUTION NO. 91 -1962 A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT, APPROVAL OF PLANS, AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT OF BIAS (STORM SEWER PROJECT N0. 53) 1dYEREAS, resolutions No. 48 -1962 and No. 56 -1962 of the City "Council adopted on the 18th Day of June, 1962, set the date for hearing on the proposed improvements, as specifically noted in t'ie notice of hearing attached hereto for reference as E: "vIIBIT "A ", and, WHEREAS, all the property owners whose property is liable to be assessed with the making of these improvements (as noted in said notice) were given ten (10) days notice by mail and published notice of the Council hearing through two (2) weekly publications of the required notice, and the hearing was held and the property owners heard thereon at the hearing, as noted in said notice. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RFSOLVED, By the Council of the City of Fridley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. That the following improvements heretofore proposed by Council resolution are hereby ordered to be effected and completed as soon as reasonably possible, to -wit: (a) All of the improvements as noted in the notice of hearing on the same as are noted (in Exhibit "A" in said notice) except (none): That the work involved in said improvement as listed above shall hereafter be designated as: STORT•1 SEWER IMPROVE- MENT PROJECT NO. 53. 2. The plans and specifications prepared by Comstock and Davis, Inc., Consulting Engineers, for such improvements and each of them, pur- 93 scant to the Council resolutions heretofore adopted, a copy of which plans and specifications are hereto attached and made a part hereof, are hereby approved and shall be filed with the City Clerk. 3. The work to be performed under STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NUMBER 53, shall be performed under one contract. The City Manager shall accordingly prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper advertisements for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and ' specifications. The advertisement shall be published for two (2) weeks (at least 10 days), and shall specify the work to be done and will state that bids will be opened and considered at 12:00 Noon, on the A,th day of September, 1962, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk, and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City for five percent (5") of the amount of such bid. That the adver- tisement for bids for STORM, SFNr--R IYPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 53 shall be substantially in form as that noted in Exhibit "B" attached hereto for reference and made a part hereof. GREIG ATTEST: 0 i CITY MANAGER - EARL WAGNER , EXHIBIT "B" NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Sealed bids will be received, publicly opened, and considered by the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, at the office of the City Manapler in said City on the 4th day of September, 1962, at 12:00 o'clock noon for the furnishing of work and materials for the installation of Storm Sewer Improvement Project Number 53. The project consists of the following construction items: 7300 Lin. Ft. 12" to 24" RCP Storm Sewer, Manholes, Catch Basins and appurtenances. All in accordance with plans and specifications prepared for the City of Fridley, Minnesota, b-; Comstock an? Davis, Inc., Consulting Engineers, 1446 County Road "J ", Minneapolis 21, Minnesota, Tele ^hone: Sunset 4 -9346. Plans and specifications may be examined at the office of the City Manager; and copies may be applying to the Engineers obtained for the Contractor's individual use and depositing with the Engineers 425.00 for by each set. The deposit will be refunded to each bidder submitting a bonafide bid I upon return of the documents in good condition within ten days from the date of opening bids. Bids must be made on the basis of cash payment for the work, and accompanied by a cash deposit, certified check ion a responsible bank in the State of Minnesota), or a bidder's bond and made payable without condit "on to the City of Fridley, Minnesota, in an amount of not less than 5% of the total amount of the bid. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in any bid received without explanation. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty days.
