The Council of the City of Fridley does ordain as follows: '

Sectian 1. That Section 45.282 of the City Code of Fridley be �
;� amended to read as £ollows:
45.282, R-3 Districts: Same as in R-2 Districts �
for each dwelling or dwelling group having four dwelling
units or less.
A lot area of not less than 1,000 additional square
feet for each dwelling unit over four in number, is re-
quiredo
� • However the average square foot area for each dwell-
in unit shall not be Iess than 1,500 square feet.

ORDINANCE �
AN ORDINANCE DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
UNDER CITY CHARTER. SECTION 3.06 AND
SECTION 6.06 AND ALLOWING THE CITY TO
CONTRACT FOR BRICK FACIPdG OF THE CITY
HPLL.
WHEKEAS, construction is in progress on the City Fire Department south
of the e�cisting City Hall; and
WI�REAS, the existing City Hall needs to be brick faced in order to
match the exterior construction of the Fire Department addition; and
WHEREAS, after investigation, the Citq Manager and the City Engineer
recon8nend the immediate construction of such brick facing and that it is
prudent and economical to have such work done in connection with the exist-
ing construction of the Fire Station, and
WI-iEREAS, the normal bidding procedure as provided in the City Charter
� and Ordinance would be too lengthy to remedy the emergency that exists.
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY OF FRIDLEY DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. An Emergency exists as contemplated by Sections
3.06 and 6a06 of the Charter of the City of Fridley>
Section 2. That the bidding requirements of Section 6.06 of the

City Charter are hereby waived because of the emergency; that the City
,
' may proceec3 at once to contract for the brick facing of the front of
the existing City Hall at a price consistent with the construction
costs involved with the Fire Station Building under construction and
for a sun not to exceed $5,000.00.
