RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND FINAL PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS —
SS #68 — (STORM SEWER CONSTRUCTION FOR 1964)
WHEREAS, Resolution #86 -1964 of the City Council adopted the 4th
day of May 1964, and Resolution ,#104 -1964 of the City Council adopted
the 18th day of May, 1964, set the date for hearing on the proposed im-
provements, as specifically noted in the Notice of Hearing attached here-
to for reference as Exhibit "A ", and
WHEREAS, all of the property owners whose property is liable to be
assessed with the making of these improvements (as noted in said notice)
were given ten (10) days published notice of the Council Hearing through
two (2) weekly publications of the required notice, and the hearing was
held and the property owners hears thereon at the hearing, as noted in
said notice.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of
Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, as follows:
1. That the following improvements proposed by Council
Resolutions #86 -1964 and #104 -1964 are hereby ordered
to be effected and completed as soon as reasonably
possible to wit:
a. All of the improvements as noted in the notice of
hearing on the same as are noted (in Exhibit "A ")
in said notice.
2,; The work to be performed under this project may be
performed under one or more cdntracts as may be deemed
advisable upon receipt of bids.
3. Comstock and Davis, Inc., Consulting Engineers, are
hereby designated as the Engineers for this improvement.
They shall prepare final plans and specifications for
the making of such improvement.
ADOPTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY THIS 2ND DAY
OF NNE 1964.

NOTICE OF HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS
STORM SEWER PROJECT #68
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, r
Minnesota, has deemed it necessary and expedient that the improvements
hereinafter described be made.
NOW, THEREFORE, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on the 2nd day of
June, 1964, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., the City Council will meet at the
City Hall in said City, and will at said time, and place, hear all
parties interested in said improvements in whole or in part.
The general nature of the improvements is the construction (in the
lands and streets noted below) of the following improvements, to wit:
CONSTRUCTION ITEM
A. Storm sewer and appurtenances in and serving the following lands:
1) Ely Street - Blocks J & K, Riverview Heights
2) Meloland Lakeview
3) Gardena Meloland Gardens
4) Moore Lake Hills 2nd
5) Property bounded on North by Osborne Road, west by T.H. #65,
east by Central Avenue and south by Fireside Drive.
ESTIMATED COST . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $429976.36
THAT.THE AREA PROPOSED TO BE ASSESSED FOR SAID IMPROVEMENT IS AS r
FOLLOWS:
For Construction Item A. above - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
All of the land abutting upon said streets named above and all lands
adjacent and abutting thereto.
All of said land to be assessed proportionately according to the
benefits received by such improvements.
That the Council proposes to proceed with each of said improvements
as separate improvements, except as hereafter otherwise provided by the
Council all under the following authority, to wit: Minnesota Laws 1953,
Chapter 398 and laws amendatory thereof, and in conformity with the City
Charter.
