RESOLUTION NO. 117 -1964
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PRELIMINARY REPORT AND CALLING A PUBLIC
HEARING ON THE MATTER OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS:
(STORM SEWER - PROJECT NO. 5 - NORTH OF HIGHWAY NO. 100 AND EAST
OF UNIVERSITY AVENUE)
WHEREAS, the construction of certain improvements is deemed to be
in the interest of the City of Fridley and the property owners affected
thereby.
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley, as
follows:
1. That the preliminary report submitted by Comstock and Davis, Inc.,
Consulting Engineers, is hereby received and accepted.
2. That this Council will meet on the 2nd day of June, 1964 at 8:00
o'clock P.M. at the City Hall in the City of Fridley for the purpose
of holding a Public Hearing on the improvement noted in the Notice
attached hereto and made a part thereof by reference, Exhibit "A ".
3. That the area proposed to be assessed for said improvements and each
of them as noted in said notice are all the lands and areas as noted
in said notice; all of the same to be assessed proportionately
according to the benefits received.
4. That the City Manager is authorized and directed to give notice of
such Public Hearings by publishing a notice thereof in the official
newspaper of the City of Fridley according to law, such notice to be
substantially in the form and substance of the notice attached hereto
as Exhibit "A ".

JUNE, 1964.

NOTICE OF HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS
PROJECT NO. 5 -B

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County,
Minnesota, has deemed it necessary and expedient that the improvements
hereinafter described be made.
NOW, THEREFORE, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on the 15th day of July,
1964, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., the City Council will meet at the City Hall in
said City, and will at said time, and place, hear all parties interested in
said improvements in whole or in part.
The general nature of the improvements in the construction (in the
lands and streets noted below) of the following improvements, to -wit:
CONSTRUCTION ITEM:
A. Storm Sewer and appurtenanees• located in all of the streets and serving
all of the area described as follows:
Commencing at the intersection of the westerly right -of -way of
State Trunk Highway #47 and Trunk Highway #694 (formerly Highway #100);
thence east along Trunk Highway #694 to its intersection with Trunk
Highway #65; thence North along Trunk Highway k65 to its intersection
with the south entrance of West Moore Lake Drive; thence along West
Moore Lake Drive and Quincy Street to 61st Avenue N.E.; thence westerly
along 61st Avenue N.E. to its intersection with 6th Street N.E.; thence
North on 6th Street N.E. to 63rd Avenue N.E.; thence west on 63rd Ave-
nue N.E. to 5th Street N.E. extended; thence north on 5th Street extended
' and 5th Street to its intersection with Mississippi Street; thence west
on Mississippi Street to the west right -cf -way line of State Trunk High-
way X47; thence southerly along said right -of -way line of said Highway
to the point of begirning.

THAT THE AREA PROPOSED TO BE ASSESSED FOR SAID IMPROVEMENT IS AS
FOLLOWS: - - - - -

All of the land abutting upon said streets named above and all lands
adjacent and abutting thereto.
All of said land to be assessed proportionately according to zhe benefits
received by such improvements.
That the Council proposes to proceed with eac-4 of said improvements as
separate improvements, except as hereafter otherwise'probided by the
Council all under the following authority, to -wit: Minnesota Statutes
1961, Chapter 429 and Laws amendatory thereof, and in conformity with
the City Charter.
