RESOLUTION REQUESTING TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE AT THE INTERSEC-
TIONS OF OLD CENTRAL AVENUE ALSO KNOWN IS COUNTY ROAD NO. 35,
WEST I,IOURE L1,KE ROAD AND TRUNK H1GH1J1'Y NO. 65
WHEREAS, within the City of Fridley, County Road 35, also '
known as Old Central Avenue, West Moore Lake Road, and Trunk High-
way No. 65 intersect to form a dangerous intersection with the City
of Fridley, and
WHEREAS, because of the road construction work being carried
on within the City of Fridley, heavy traffic is directed to this
intersection, and
WHEREAS, the installation of a traffic device would aid
immeasurably in the orderly flow of traffic and reducing the danger
of accidents and injuries at that intersection,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Fridley, Minnesota, as follows:
That a,traffie control device should be installed at the above
described intersection; that the City hereby requests the State
Highway Department to install said device and that the City Manager
is hereby instructed to send a copy of this Resolution to the State
Highway Department and urge them to install said device as soon as
possible.
