RES 1964-194 - 00011836276 RESOLUTION NO 194 -1964 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR STORM SEWER NO. 71 AND SANITARY SEWER NO. 72 WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution passed by the City Council of the City of Fridley on the 8th day of September, 1964„ Comstock and Davis, Inc., the Consulting Engineers, retained for the purpose, have prepared plans and specifications for the imcrovement by stcrm sewer for that property lying within the City of Fridley and contained within the following area: Commencing at the intersection of 64th Avenue N.E., and T.H. #47 (University Avenue N.E.), thence east along 64th Avenue N.E. to 5th Street N.E., thence north along 5th Street N.E. to Mississippi _'treet, thence east on Mississippi Street to 7th Street, thence north on -7th Street to 67th Avenue N.E., thence west on 67th - ":venue N.E. to 4th Street N.E., thence north on 4th Street N.E. to Rice Creek Terrace, thence northerly and westerly on Rice Creek Terrace to 2nd Street N.E., thence south on 2nd Street N.E., and 2nd Street N.E. extended southerly to Satellite Lane, thence westerly on Satellite Lane to T.H. 4`47 (Uni- versity venue) to the place of beginning, AND WHEREAS, the final plans and specifications have now been presented to the Council for approval, AND WHEREAS, Sanitary Sewer Project No. 72 is a Project that will not be assessed and is a Project previously determined by the City Council, and for which final plans and specifications have been received. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fridley, Minnesota: 1. That the plans and specifications on Storm Sewer No. 71 and Sanitary Sewer No. 72, copies of which are attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in The Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for ten (10) days, shall specify the work done, shall state that bids will be opened at 12:00 o'clock Neon, and considered by the Council at 8:00 o'clock P.M., on September 28, 1964, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk and accom- paniod by a cash deposit, cashier's check bid bond or certified check payable to the Clerk for five percent (5 %j of the amount of such bid. Brunsell i 1 RESuLUTION NO. 12L-126 Continued) 277 NOTICE TU CONTRACTORS Ixi myn 7 STORM SEWER IMPROVE1.1ENT PROJECT NO. 71 and SANITARY SEWER IMPR6VEMENT PM JECT NO. 72• ' Sealed bids will be received and publicly opened by the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, at the office of the City Mana- ger, on the 28th day cf September, 1964, at 12:00 Noon, and will be considered by the City Council of the City of Fridley, at a regu- lar Council Meeting, at 8:00 P.M. on the 28th day of September for the furnishing of work and materials for the installation of Storm Sewer Improvement Project No. 71 and Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project No. 72. The project consists of the following: Approximately 2,500 Lineal Feet of 36" to 12" storm sewers with appurtenances and approximately 500 Lineal Feet of 20" C.I. sanitary sewer with appurtenances. All in accordance with plans and specifications prepared for the City of Fridley, Minnesota, by Comstock & Davis, ire., Consulting Engineers, 14-46 County Road "J ", Minneapolis, Minnesota 55432, Telephone: SL 'Inset 4 -9346. Plans and specifications may be examined at the office of the City Manager, and copies may be obtained for the Contractor's individual use by applying to the Engineers and depositing with the Engineers $10.00 for each set. The deposit will be refunded to each bidder submitting a bonafide bid upon return of the documents in good con- dition within ten (10) days from the date of opening bids and to non- bidders upon return of the documents in good coed - -tion prior to the bid opening. Bids must be made on the basis of cash payment for the work, and accompanied by a cash deposit, certified check (on a responsible bank in the State of Minnesota), or a bidder's bond and made payable without condition to the City of Fridley, Minnesota, in an amount of not less than 5% of the total amount of the bid. The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in any bids received without explanation. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days.
