RES 1964-229 - 0001189232 RESOLUTION NO. 229 -1964 A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE SALE ::F GRANULAR MATERIAL FROM LOCKE PARK IN THE CITY OF FRIDLEY WHEREAS, the `desterly portion of Locke Park in the City of Fridley has an excess amount of earth material and has not as yet been improved by the City, and WHEREAS, inquiry has been made by the State of Minnesota De- partment of Highways as to whether or not some of the excess mater- ial could not be employed in the construction of U.S. Trunk High- way No. 47. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESULVF_,D, by the City Council.of the City of Fridley, that the City Manager be directed to enter into a written agreement with the successful bidder of the contract for the construction of U.S. Trunk Highway No. 47 within the City of Fridley, which letting is to take place in the month of uctober, 1964. That said agreement shall provide that the earth or granular material be sold for a price of not less than eighteen cents (18¢) per yard and that said contractor or user stockpile the existing top soil and take no more -yardage of said earth or granular material than may be permitted by the City of Fridley, and further that said contractor shall agree to level said ground in accordance with the specifications and requirements of the City and replace and spread said stockpile top soil on said premises.
