RES 1964-234 - 00011897RESOLUTION NO. 234 -1964 A RESOLUTION Tu ADVERTISE FUR BIDS ONE USED STREET SWEEPER BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fridley, as follows: 1. That it is in the interest of the City to award bid contracts for the following items or materials: ONE USED STREET SWEEPER 2. A copy of the specifications for the above described i.teng and materials, together with a proposal for the method of purchase and the payment thereof have been presented to the Council by the City manager and the same are hereby approved and adopted as the plans and specifications, and the method cf acquisition and pay- ment to be required by the City with respect to the acquisition of said items and materials. 3. The purchase of said items and materials as described above shall be effected by sealed bids to be received and opened by the City of Fridley on the 2nd day of November, 1964. The City Manager is directed and authorized to advertise for the purchase of said item and material by sealed bid proposals under notice as provided by law and the Charter of the City of Fridley, the notice to be substantially in form as that shown by Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part of by reference. Said notice shell be published at least twice in the official newspaper of the City of Fridley. PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 19TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 1964, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY. IAY�R - I:'illianl .lee ATTEST: 37 38 RESuLUTION NO. 234 -1964 (Continued) CITY OF FUIDLEY BID NOTICE: USED STREET SWEEPER EXHIBIT A The City Council of the City of Fridley, Minnesota, will accept sealed bids on one used sweeper on the 2rd day of November, 1964, until 12:00 o'clock Noon on said date at the City Hall, 6431 University ._venue N.E., Fridley, hinnesota 55421 (Telephone: 560- 3450). All bids must meet the minimum requirements of the specifications. Failure to comply with t'us section can result it disqualification of the bid. Each bid sh °11 be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, Cash or Bid Bond and made payable without conditions to the City of Fridley, Minnesota, in an amount of not less than 5' of the bid, which check, cash or bond shall be forfeited if bidder neglects or refuses to enter into a Contract, after his bid has been accepted. The City reserves the right to accept the bid which is determined to be in the best interests of the City. The City reserves the right to re- ject any and all bids and waive any informalities or technicalities in any bid received without explanation. The City Council also reserves the right to, consider such factors as time of delivery or performance, experience, responsibility of the bid- der, past performance of similar types of items or materj,f2ls, avail- ability of products and other similar factors that it may determine to be in the best interest of the City. Copies of the specifications and general conditions may be examined in the office of the City Engineer - Director of Public Works, or copies may be obtained from his office. 11 bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes and olain'y marked on the outside with "USED SWEEPER ". diUU P.
