RESOLUTION NO. 238 -1964
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PRELIMINARY REPORT AND CALLING FOR
A PUBLIC HARING ON THE MATTER OF TYE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN
II,iPROVEys';NTS- ,MUNICIPAL STATE AID IMPROVEMENT FROJECT ST. 1965 -2
WHEREAS, the construction of certain improvements is deemed to
be in the interest of the City of Fridley and the property owners
affected thereby.
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley as
follows:
1. That the preliminary- report submitted by the City Engineer,
Nasim Qureshi, is hereby received and accepted. -
2. That this Council will meet on the 7th day of December, 196/.,
at 8:00 o'clock P.M. at the City Hall in the City of Fridley for
the purpose of holding a 'Public Hearing on the improvement noted
in the Notice attached hereto and made a part thereof by reference,
Exhibit "A ".
3. That the area proposed to be assessed for said improvements and
each of them as noted in said notice are all the lands and areas
as noted in said notice: All of the same to be assessed propor-
tionately according to the benefits received.
4. That the City Manager is authorized and directed to give notice
of such Public Nearing by publishing a notice thereof in the
official newspaper of the City of Fridley according to law, such
notice to be substantially in the form and substance of the
notice attached hereto as Exhibit "A ".

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County,
Minnesota, has deemed it necessary and expedient that the improve-
ments hereinafter described be made.
NOW, THEREPCiRE, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on the 7th day of
December, 1964, at 8:00 o'clock P.M. the City Council will meet at
the City Hall_ in said City, and will at said time and place hear all
parties interested in said improvements in whole or in part.
The general nature of the improvements is the construction (in
the lands and streets noted below) of the following im= orovea i -ts,
to wit:
CONSTRUCTION ITEM
A. Street improvements, including grading, stabilised -base, bitu-
minous surfacing, concrete curb and gutter and appurtenant
facilities, located as follows:
1) 73rd Avenue from Able Street to Highway No. 65 -
MSF_P 27- 307-02
2) 7th Street from 53rd Avenue to Mississippi Street -
MSAP 27- 312-03
3) Main Street from 57th Avenue to 58th Avenue -
MSAP 27- 311 -02
4) 57th Avenue from University Avenue to 7th Street -
MSAP 27- 301 -02
ESTIMATED COST . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $2071983.24
THAT THE AREA PROPOSED TO BE ASSESSED FOR SAID IMPROVEMENT IS
AS FOLLOWS:
For Construction Item A above - - - - - - - - - - - -
All of the land abutting upon said streets named above
and all lands within, adjacent and abutting thereto.
All of said land to be assessed proportionately according to
the benefits received by such improvements.
That the Council proposes to proceed with each of said improve-
ments as separate improvements, e=VWas.+ereafter otherwise provi-
ded by the Council all under the following authority, to -wit: 'Minne-
sota Statutes 1961, Chapter 429 and laws amendatory thereof, and in
conformity with the City Charter.
