A RESOLUTION ON PROPOSED STREET IMPROVEMENT - PROJECT
ST. 1965 -3
WHERE!)S, it is proposed to improve the frontage roads along
Trunk Highway No. 47, from 57th Avenue N.E. in Fridley to 400
feet North of the South corporate limits of Blaine, by the instal -
lation of curb and gutter on said frontage roads, and to assess
the abutting property for all or a portion of the cost of the im-
provement, pursuant to M.S.A. Sections 429.011 to 429.111, and
WHEREAS, under date of October 19, 1964, the proposal was
considered by the City Council of the City of Fridley with the
work to be done in conjunction with the improvement of Trunk High-
way No. 47 by the Department of Highways, State of Minnesota., and
the City engineer was directed to make an estimate as to the cost
of such improvement, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley in consul-
tation with representatives of the Department of Highways, State
of Minnesota, and with the City Engineer determined that the im-
provement is feasible and would 'test be made in conjunction with
the State contract on Tnank Highway No. 47, and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer under date of November 2, 1964,
has made a report indicating that the total cost would amount to
the sum of ',7,568.13, and that the type and location of curb and
gutter on the proposed improvement is as follows:

On both sides of the west frontage road
from 57th Avenue N.E. to 57th Place N.E.
On the east side of the east frontage road
from 57th :.venue N.E. to 67th = .venue N.E.
On.the.west side.of the west - frontage road
from 61st Avenue N.E. to Rice Creek Terrace.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FRIDLEY, MINNESOTA:
1. The Council will consider the improvement of the streets
above mentioned in accordance with the report of November 2, 1964,
and the assessment of abutting property owners for all or a portion
of the cost of the improvement pursuant to M.S.A. Sections 429.011
to 429.111, at an estimated total cost of the improvement of '7,568.13.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement
on the 16th day of November, 1964, in the Council Chambers of the
City Hall at 8:00 o'clock P.i., and the clerk shall give published
notice of such hearing and improvement as required by law.

10EREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County,
Minnesota, has deemed it necessary and expedient that the improve-
ments hereinafter described be made.
NOW, THEREFORE, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on the 16th day of
November, 1964., at 5:00 o!clock P.M., the City Council will meet at
the City Hall in said City, and will at said time and place hear all
parties interested in said improvements in whole or in part.
The general nature of the improvements is the construction (in
the lands and streets noted below) of the following improvements,
to -wit:

THAT THE AREA PROPOSED TO BE ASSESSED FOR SAID IMPROVEMENT IS
AS FOLLOWS:

All of the land abutting upon said streets named above and all
lands within, adjacent and abutting thereto.
All of said land to be assessed proportionately according to
the benefits received by such improvements.
That the Council proposes to proceed with each of said improve -
ments as separate improvements, except as hereafter otherwise provid-
ed by the Council all under the following; authority, to wit: Minne-
sota Statutes 1961, Chapter 429 and laws amendatory>thereo£,, and in
conformity with the City Charter.
