RESOLUTION NO. 2
A RESOLUTION TO SUSPEND TEMPORARILY THE GRJATTTING OF BUILDING
PERMITS AND ZONING DISTRICT CHANGES IN AN AREA UNDER STUDY
FUR A MAJOR ZONING CHPNGE AND FOR URBAN RENEWAL
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Fridley has
had under study for several months a major zor_ ng change for the
area bounded as follows:
On the North, 67th Avenue Northeast, on the West,
the Northern Pacific Railway Right -of -way, on the
South, 63rd _venue Northeast, and on the East, 7th
Street Northeast, and
l4FEREAS, the Planning Commission has also under study, the
possible treatment of this entire area as an urban renewal pro-
ject, and
[THEREAS, applications are now pending before the Planning
Commission and the City Council of the City of Fridley, for minor
changes in zoning, and for building permits within said area, and
WHEREAS, public hearings have been held before the Planning
Commission and before the City Council of the City of Fridley, and
further public hearings are contemplated concerning requests for
changes in zoning or for commercial building permits for proper-
ties within said bounded area, and
' WHEREAS, the studies now pending before the Planning Commis-
sion are incomplete, and will not be complete for several months.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the
City of Fridley at its regular meeting held on the 16th day of
November, 1964, that all pending applications for changes in zon-
ing and applications for any other purpose that may permanently
affect the area described above, be suspended and deferred unto
the meeting of the City Council at its first regular meeting in
February of 1965.

FRIDLEY THIS 16TH DAY.OF NOVEMBER, 1964.
