RES 1964-272 - 000119529 RESOLUTION NO. 272 -1964 A RESOLUTION REQUESTING LEGISLATION FOR MUNICIPAL COURT WHEREAS, the Fridley Municipal Court presently consists of a I Municipal Judge and a Special Municipal Judge; WHEREAS, the compensation or salaries for the Municipal Judges in the City of Fridley have not kept pace with the case load now hand- led by the Court and are presently much below the Courts of other metropolitan suburbs; AND WHEREAS the budget of the City for 1965 is adequate to take care of an increase in salary, NCW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED as follows: 1. That the Municipal Judge and the Special Municipal Judge of the Municipal Court should be redesignated as Chief Municipal Judge and Associate Municipal Judge, respectively. 2. That a salary of ?our thousand Dollars ($4,000.00) per year be established for the Chief M nicipal Judge and a salary of Two thousand Dollars ($2,000.00) per year for the Associate Municipal Judge. That each of said judges shall be paid additionally the sum of Five hundred Dollars MOO-CO) for services in connection with the Conciliation Court. 3. That the 1965 session of the Minnesota State Legislature be , urged to enact a special law tc carry out the provisions of this reso- lution, making the salaries or compensation retroactive to January 1, 1965.
