RESOLUTION NO. 47 -1964
RESOLUTION COMMENDING FRIDLEY JUNIOR CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
FOR PREPARATION OF BOOKLET "AN INVITATION TO INDUSTRY"
WHEREAS, the Fridley-Junior Chamber of Commer" realized the need for,
and desirability of, industry locating in the City of Fridley, and,
' WHEREAS, this civic - minded group was aware that the Council of the City
of Fridley was eager to attract new industry to Fridley, but was handicapped
by lack of funds for this purpose, and,
WHEREAS, the Junior.Chamber of Commerce directed its Industrial Development
Committee to determine the-best steps to take to attract industry, and
WHEREAS, in cooperation with the Northern States Power Company, this
committee has produced the booklet "Fridley, Minnesota - An Invitation to
Industry ".
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT. RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of Fridley:
1. That the City Council hereby expresses its thanks, and its commendation,
to the Fridley Junior Chamber of Commerce for preparation of this
- excellent booklet.
2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to forward two certified copies
of this resolution to the Fridley Junior Chamber of Commerce.
