RESOLUTION NO. 55 -1964
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR AN OVERALL STUDY OF STORM
SEWER NEEDS, EXISTING ASSESSMENTS, AND PLAN FOR
FUTURE CONSTRUCTION AND FINANCING IN THE CITY OF FRIDLEY
WHEREAS, heretofore various storm sewers have been planned and constructed
in the City of Fridley, some of which have been part of subdivision developments
and paid for by the developer; and
WHEREAS, all portions of the City of Fridley have been partially developed
and the City Plan heretofore adopted by the City Council anticipates future
needs; and
WHEREAS, the Council needs a complete study and evaluation of_past,.present
and future storm sewer. for the City of Fridley in order to formulate and
determine an equitable and adequate system of financing;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, By the City Council of the City of
Fridley as follows:
1. That the City Manager proceed at once to evaluate and study the
total storm sewer needs of the City in Uonnection with existing and
contemplated construction.
2. That the City Manager employ the services of the -City Engineer,
Comstock & Davis, Inc., as consulting engineers, the City Finance
-- Officer, the City Attorney and such other City employees as he may
determine will be able to contribute to such a study.
3. That the City Manager make a progress report on the storm sewer
study at each regular meeting of the City Council until the study
and report are completed.
