RESOLUTION NO. 77-
A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR A FLAT RATE CHARGE TO COVER
PUBLICATION FEES IN CONNECTION WITH THE VACATIONS OF
ALLEYS AND /OR STREETS
WHEREAS, petitions have frequently been presented to the City pursuant
to the City Charter and the State Statutes in regard to the vacation of some
existing alleys and /or streets in the City of Fridley, and
WHEREAS, the law requires that a public-hearing be held and that
certain notices of the hearing be published, and
WHEREAS, calculations indicate that a flat rate charge of $20.00 will
be ample and fair to cover the usual publication costs in connection with
such vacation proceedings.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, By the City Council of the City of
Fridley, Minnesota:
1. That hereafter a flat rate of $20.00 shall be charged and required
from�all petitioners seeking to vacate alleys and /or streets in
the City of Fridley.
2. That said charge shall be paid upon filing the application and before
the publication is commenced, and that there is to be no refund
whether or not the proceedings are satisfactorily completed.
