RES 1965-142 - 00011442RESOLUTION N0. 142 -1965 A RESOLUTION ORDERING THE REPAIR OR REMOVAL OF THE STRUCTURE LOCATED AT 6882 CENTRAL AVENUE NORTHEAST IN THE CITY OF FRIDLEY BY REASON OF IT BEING A HAZARDOUS STRUCTURE WHMMS, on July 30, 1965, Clarence Belisle and Armand Giesen, City of Fridley Building Inspector and Structural Engineer inspected the property and reported the following existing conditions requiring the following or equal repairs necessary to alter this condition: EXISTING CONDITIONS 1. Roof destroyed to rubble and is filling the first floor together with other rubble. REQUIRED REPAIRS AND /OR ALTERATIONS 1. Build new roof. 187 2. The south wall is buckled outwards, 2. Remove to footings and build a split over the west two thirds and new south wall. Inspect footings pulled out. Conditions of footings and rebuild as necessary before doubtful. rebuilding the south wall. 3. West wall is rubble destroyed to the foundation. Condition of the footings is doubtful. �. Remove and rebuild damaged portions of the `first floor. Inspect the structural components of the first floor before reuse. 4. The first floor is partly destroyed 3. Remove the rubble and remains and buckled due to the weight of of the west wall to the foundation the rubble. The condition of and build a new west wall. Inspect structural members supporting the the footings and rebuild as necessary first floor is doubtful. before rebuilding the west wall. 5. Garage shed additions The roof structure is pulled loose from the west supporting wall. Insulation and ceiling roof boards are water soaked and the usefulness of same is destroyed. The ceiling roof boards are warped and buckled. 5. Garage shed addition: Provide structural support for west end of roof frame or reconnect to east wall of the building. Replace ceiling roof and insulation. 6. Numerous cracks in the block walls 6. Rebuild Masonry walls to comply and existing reinforcing of walls with the Code. by 1211 I beams connected with tie rods indicate that the masonry walls are not sound structurally. 7. Considerable damage has been done 7. Replace and revise all plumbing, to plumbing and electrical work heating and electrical services due to destruction of roof, walls to comply with the code. and part of the floor. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the City Council of Fridley as follows- 1. That a notice pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 462.39 to 462.40 concerning hazardous buildings be prepared by the City Attorney and City Manager, that said notice give the owners until November 160 1965, to remove ' said hazardous condition or make the necessary repairs to correct the defects enumerated by the City Building Inspector; that said order be served on the owners as provided by said Minnesota Statutes and the City Attorney is authorized to proceed in District Court Anoka County to enforce said notice and order if the necessary corrective action is not taken by the owner.
