RES 1965-16 - 0001127621 RESOLUTION NO. 16 -1965 A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT, APPROVAL OF PLANS, AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS WHEREAS, the Resolution of the City Council adopted on the 2nd day of November, 1964, set the date for hearing on the proposed improvements, as specifically noted in the notice of hearing attached hereto for reference as EXHIBIT "A ", and The City Manager shall accordingly prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper advertisements for bids upon the making of such improvements under such approved plans and specification =. The advertise- ment shall be published for three (3) weeks (at least 21 days), and shall specify the work to be done and 1• ±i11 s *-ate that bids will be opened and considered at 12:00 o'clock (noon), on the 15th day of February, 1965, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk,and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City for five per cent (5 %) of the amount of such bid. E ....ell WHCREAS, all property owners whose property is liable to be, assessed with the making of the improvements (as noted in said notice) were given ten (1() days of published notice of the Council hearing through two (2) weekly publications of the required notice, and the hearing was held and the property owners heard thereon at the hearing, as noted in said notice. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Fridley, Minnesota, as folloT�,s: 1. That the following improvements heretofore proposed by Council resolution are hereby ordered to be effected and completed as soon as reasonably possible, to -wit: (a) All of the improvements as noted in the notice of hearing on the same as are noted (in Exhibit "A" in said notice) except (none); that the work involved in said improvements as listed above shall hereafter be designated as: MUNICIPAL STATE AID IMPROVEMENT PROJECT ST. 1965 -2 2. The plans and specifications prepared by the City Engineer for such improv ^rents and each of them, pursuant to the ' Council resolutions heretofore adopted, a copy of which plans and specifications are hereto attached and made a part hereof, are hereby approved and shall be filed with with City Clerk. 3. The deposi.t will be ref +inded to each bidder submitting a bonafide bid upon return of the documents in good condition within ten (10) days from the bid opening date. 23 Bids must be made on the basis of cash payment for work, and accom- panied by a cash deposit, certified check (on a responsible bank in the State of Minnesota), or a bidder's bond and made payable without condition to the City of Fridley, Minnesota, in an amount of not less than 5% of the total amount of the bid. The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in any bids received without explanation. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days.
